I read this in the February edition of Reader's Digest, Canada.
"The FDA approved the first ever transdermal patch for the treatment of depression," Tina Fay announced on Saturday Night Live. "Simply remove the backing, and press the patch firmly over your mother's mouth."
I am going to call my doctor today, and see if I can get a prescription for a lifetime supply of these!!

lol it seems like i feel much better when i am far away from mom as well. now that she's moved to chicago, i'm on cloud 9 and i actually enjoy just visiting with her on the phone or during holidays. i guess it's true, absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Oh my gosh, that was hilarious. Like the others, I too thought this was serious. It is really nice to know that other people feel the same about their mothers.
The scariest part is knowing that my kids will grow up to feel the same way about me.

While i am far away from my mom we still talk all of the time on the phone. I miss her so much. It's funny how we think that someone bothers us so much an then when we get away from them you can put it into perspective. As a mother i know where my mom was coming from so often when she bothered me it would have been in my best interest to listen! AS far as depresion and a mother actually causing it i wouldn't know, i think I am the true cause of any depresing thought that crosses my mind. My mother is so very often the answer.

That is too funny! I would have to have a time machine for mine. The damage has already been done.
Incidentally, lately I have found some easy remedies for depression. Exercise works wonders!

LoL I'm sure it would also cost us all a sure sum of money. But then again, I think it would really help us all alot. my mother do seem to annoy me sometimes, she's used to talking right in front of me -by shouting!;) Oh well, what the heck!
