Does teething cause constipation?

My youngest child(5 months) just pooped today for the first time in almost 5 days. He is breastfed and hasn't had cereal in this time. My diet hasn't changed and he was pooping regularly previously. I don't want him to go through this every time he needs to poop. He had horrible gas but he was happy regardless. Any help?
