I Hate Doing Laundry

I have been doing laundry all day and I still am not caught up. What is your system for doing laundry? I think if I had a system I wouldn't get so far behind. I have heard some people do one load of laundry each day. It just seems like a pain to do it every day though.

I do the laundry ever few days. If it starts to stack, its time to do it. I do all my other house work inbetween the laundry stages.

Laundry is a breeze not that I don't have 5 children at home anymore. I do mayybe 2-3 loads a week as compared to 2-3 loads a day. I really don't mind anymore.

I hate it to. I think I only do it once or twice a week. With 3 kids I should be doing it alot more.

I have tried the one load a day thing and it never works for me. I end up forgetting about the load because I am doing other things. I just plan days that I will focus on laundry and get as many loads done as I can. I never expect myself to get it all done that way I am never disappointed. WHen I set aside the day then my mind just goes into laundry mode and I don't forget about it. I just keep moving the laundry along and I make sure to fold and put away each load as I take them out of the dryer that way I don't get overwhelmed. I do other things durning the day but my main goal is laundry. IT took some practice to get used to this system but for me it works.

I don't like doing it either but I know it has to be done. I try to do a load every night or either every other night. That way it doesn't get piled up so fast.

I also share the pain of having to do my own laundry now that I live on my own. I've found out a way though: I got to a laundry service convenience store every 3 days and get most of my stuff done around there. Sure it gets a bit extra expensive but it's my only possible way of having decent clothing these days, otherwise I'd be doomed.

lol my method of doing laundry is waiting till the washer fills up then throughing it in the dryer till its dry ,that where it will stay until another load is ready ,until then we try to use the stuff in the dryer so there isnt much to put away when the next load is ready, so on and so on. I say it is the livin out of the dryer method.

i do my laundry once a week and i can usually kick it out in about 5 to 6 hours, sometimes it will take me a little more if i am doing the comforters from the bed or not, but usually i do them on a different day. I fold all the laundry and then when my bf gets home from work he puts it away.

I limit myself to five outfits and wash them all in one load, twice a week. LOL Actually, I do one load 2-3 times a week and the household wash -- kitchen towels, bedding, etc on Sat. It's not too bad if I keep up on it, but miss one day and suddenly I'm overwhelmed.

I just devote a few days a week to heavy duty laundry!! I sort and pile in the correct colors!! Then i just go to town and i always make sure that i fold every load as soon as they finish so that i do not get behind with putting them away!!!

i don't enjoy doing laundry but some ome has to do it. If you think a litle is not that hart you put the laundry mashine and then you take them out, the hardest thing is to dry them. If you dont have a washing mashine your done you can wash all they and still have some for tomorow.

I do Laundry 3 times a week, Friday,Sunday and Wednesday. It works for my family's schedule, I have 3 kids on the weekend and only 1 threw the week. I wouldnt enjoy doing it everyday, it would get boring to me.

The only part of Laundry I do not like to do is folding, and sometimes catching a runaway washer if it sets off balance... Otherwise I find laundry fun... I love to pile all the dirt clothes to one side and for Sorting them throw them across the room, and dance, as I wait for the other load to get done as I dance to the dryer and washer :) ... It's a pain, but the way to make it not a pain is to make it into a fun game... That is how I get through my chores, is I make a game out of them, then it's not as bothersome. - DNatureofDTrain
