I'd like to consider myself some-what of a perfectionist. I know that I like things done a certain way quite honestly. And I like things to be organized as well a certain way.
I think being a perfectionist can help, but also hurt you. I think it may all depend upon the person & how far it goes. I don't think there is anything wrong with striving for perfection. I feel sometimes if more people within this world we're willing to try to better themselves that it would be some-what beneficial for everyone. I know that I am always striving to be a better person in general. I think this helps me, instead of hurting me because it makes me want to grow as a person. I also think that it's a beautiful thing when a person is wanting to better themselves as well.
The only time I feel that it truly can get out of hand is if people.. Start getting carried anyone & are never satisfied with what they do or with what others around them do. I think this can lead to problems arising, & can make one's life stressful. As well as the other people around them life's stressful.
I know that for example being a perfectionist helps me in away. Because when I've worked at jobs in the past.. I used to get complimented because I worked so hard at doing my job correctly. And growing at being a better employee. So that is one example of how being a perfect sometimes has helped to work out in my favor.
I think a lot of people tend to get obsessed with things though if they are a perfectionist. I think this is when being a perfectionist is very harmful. Some examples would be things such as: Becoming more demanding of yourself, but also the people around you. Barking out orders to someone to do something a certain way but instead of being nice about it.. You begin to attack the person in away. I find this type of behavior can only be very harmful. This type of behavior helps sometimes to ruin the relationships around you.
In conclusion, I believe that being a perfectionist has it's positives & negatives like anything in this world. I know that sometimes I like that I am a perfectionist as it helps to keep me organized & things clean in my daily life.
But it can also have it's negatives. Such as never being satisfied with the things around you. That leads to people losing the people whom they love because of how judgmental & demanding they can be. I try to balance it out in my daily life so it doesn't end up getting out of hand.. As I've seen sometimes people being perfectionists can be very negative & I do not want this to happen to me. I try to keep being a perfectionist positive. You have to be willing to balance this type of behavior or it can lead to one having problems within there life! . .
Thanks for allowing me to share!

Ye I would say I am a perfectionist and I think it works to my disadvantage. I get a bit too obsessed about everything being just right which consumes a lot of time & gives me a lot of worry & stress. I always feel under pressure from myself to look perfect, have a perfectly tidy house, perfect relationships etc
