I am drinking Gevalia right now while ansewring this question! It's the best coffee I'vre ever tasted.I went into Starbucks because I had heard so much about their coffee and I wasn't impressed. But after ordering it, I noticed they had a Starbucks mild. I ordered the regular.aybe it was just too strong for me. I havn't tryed Caribou yet.

If you love Gevalia, you would really love Boca Java. I think their blends are so much better than Gevalia. They have a greater selection of coffees, teas, and cocoas too.

I've always felt that places like that were way too expensive, or maybe that's just here where I'm from?

I really love Boca Java coffees. They are the best in my opinion. I like many of the blends and the flavored coffees as well. I have been part of their connosuiers club for about a year now (coffee delivered every six weeks). They are always reliable and I get what I order. I can change my order every month, and even change when it is to be shipped. It's really a great site. If you love coffee let me know what you think of the site. I can get you $10 off your first order.

the Caribou obsidian is pretty good but a personal favorite is the Starbucks Sumatra. It is a dark roast like the Italian or French roasts but it has a better flavor to it. I wait until it goes on sale at the grocery store and stock up to help cut down the costs.

I'm not big on Starbucks -- I find it too bitter for my taste. I've never heard of Gevalia or Caribou. Must be solely American chains.
Here in Canada, its hard to find a city, town or village without at least one Tim Horton's coffee shop. Their coffee is really good and about half the price of Starbucks.
I think they have a few stores in the northern US.

I like a strong, robust coffee, but I think Starbucks bold blend is just too strong when made the way they instruct you to, it tastes burnt. I now use their Medium Bold blend, and use about 1/2 teaspoon less (total) then what they suggest and it comes out good at home. I have them grind it at the store for me since I don't have a grinder, although I should think about getting one just to get on the kids nerves a little bit. :-)

Personally out of the three I would have to say Starbucks. I've never tried Gevalia simply because I don't really have the funds for it. Caribou though I like it I can't have often because it isn't sold or big around me. I personally perfer Dunkin Donuts Coffee though. They sell packs as well of their Vanilla and Hazelnut roasts as well as their regular and decaf. I find it really good. But if you want something smoother then starbucks and ur willing to spend ur money I'd say you should go for illyusa.com. Their coffee is not as strong as Starbucks but it has a smooth taste and is actually really good.
