Hahahaha its a natural reaction to laugh i think. When I had a broken ankle, I had plaster up to my knee and slipped in the kitchen. I rebounded off the cupboards and landed on my back and winded my self. The first thing my little bro did was run in and point at me and laugh! LOL

I guess it depends on the situation, I mean if they get seriously hurt no, but just bumps and stuff sometimes.

It is NOT funny. When you watch such rubbish on the TV have a think about what it is doing to the people who get hurt, emotionally or physically, especially children.
We are learning to be a don't care society, we need to unlearn our inappropriate responses to antisocial behaviour.
Next time, make a conscious effort to stop yourself laughing when someone gets hurt.

When I was 7 I slipped on some ice that was covered by about 12 inches of snow. I called to my friends that I was with who were sledding on a nearby hill. I called to them cause I couldn't get up. I was lying flat on my back and I couldn't bend at the waist. To make a very long story short I broke my leg but all my friends thought I was crying wolf. But I get what you're saying. I think it is funny sometimes too!

If you are or was a prankster...I can see why your friends thought you was crying wolf. Glad your leg is all better now;)......but if I was there I would have laughed not at the fact you broke your leg but because you fell. Then I would have helped you out:)

Funniest home videos. Not sure if you have that show in your country but the whole of the show is practically based on videos of people or animals hurting themselves, like you said, not seriously but it is what keeps the show successful.

Sometimes it IS funny, as long as nobody got more hurt than their pride. I'm fond of the America's funniest home videos, too, my favorites are the people who are trying to be sooooooo dignified and then trip up on something really stupid, like their shoelace. Lord knows I've been many peoples entertainment over the years all by myself, lol, and as long as I'm not unconscious, I'll probably be laughing too!

it depends on the situation. I definitely will not laugh if it's something serious though.

I do laugh, it's not that it's funny (well-shoot, sometimes it is), but it's like a nervous reaction I have. I laugh in the darndest times.

if it is not a bad fall or causes some sort of injury. often, people tend to laugh if the person who falls actually reacts in a funny way or laughs about it also. be careful when laughing at someone else's expense because they might take offense and get mad at you.

I once laughed but only cos the guy was staring at me and tripped over something. I immediately felt bad though and I don't do it habitually.

It is human nature to laugh. If it were not then americas funniest home videos would have gone belly up with the first show. We laugh, but yet we think "man I hope that person is ok now" etc..... It does not mean we are mean, just human.

Well, I was walking with my girlfriend & while looking at her, I walked right into a tree & found myself sitting on my backside on the ground.
Only result was an aching shoulder (from where I hit the tree) & an aching tush (from bouncing off the tree & finding myself sitting on the ground).
I'll admit I was the one that was laughing, & making her laugh by saying that she was just too good looking (to put that mildly) to watch where I was going.
