I have the dvd writer,
the make of it is,
SAMSUNG & LG.
both are working fine.
The software I use for this is nero.
What about yours?
do you want to suggest,
anything in this regard please?
I will be very happy if you have,
any useful information in this regard.

s I have a DVD writer but it is not to a layer writer but a single layer 1 and also I was preferred Samsung from other companies because I think it is the leading in the market and I have never faced any problem with their products. But we have to understand that in today's world most of the companies make their product in such a way that they can to the maximum last for one year for 4 2 years so if we expect their products to last for more than that then we are making a mistake.

no i have not.i have got only a cd writer.i dont want to upgrade my pc anyway.because , i will buy a laptop about six months later.also it will include a dual layer +/- dvd-writer and i will put al of y movies on it.have a nice day.!!

well i've the same dvd writer like that of you....
but have you heard of blue-ray writer??
its writing and reading capacity per EVD is 30 GB on both sides...its provided by sony...
one of my friends has it...
an EVD is a more stantard version of a dvd...
Price- rs21000/- only!

ya i know blue ray disc.it is one of the great invention by sony.it has goos capacity to store data.and you are saying just rs21000/- ONLY!

I do have a DVD writer but it is not a dual layer DVD writer. But I am quite happy with the new writers that i got from the market because I had lot of data which was just lying around on my hard drive and I wanted a backup of that. This dvd writer helps me in burning DVD of my personal data and then store it at a place safely. also it empties my hard disk which I now require to dump the previews from my handicap

yes, i have a toshiba sdr5372v dvd-writer. it burns dvds and cdrs brilliantly before. but recently im having a lot of saucers.guess it needs to be replaced soon.
im eyeing for a hp or LG dvd-writer.
can someone recommends a cheap but realiable dvd writer?

My rig runs with a HP lightscribe DVD R/RW and I also have a secondary CD R/RW. Mostly for disc to disc and simultaneous tasking.

yes i have a dvd writer. its an LG. i dont know the specific model number. i bought it last year. but i dont use it much. as i have a portable external 100 gb hard drive and a 1 gb pen drive.
