Well I got there!

I've got to my hundred. No I don't think I will get a card from The Queen! (In the UK if you reach 100 years old you receive a telegram from the Queen). Mind you I'm going to try to get my 'ton' in life years and I have only got 26 years left to go...!! No, I mean I have arrived here on Mylot with 100. Perhaps you might care to share some bubbly with me. I am now hoping to catch some of you more proliferate posters and arrive at 1000!

You can do it and have fun as well. I really am enjoying mylot. It is fun to hit those milestones along the way. Now my goal is 1500. I have some work to do though. About the Queen, does she send these telegrams to us colonists as well?

Yes Ally and I'm enjoying it too and when you get to your 1500 let me know and I'll have a Scotch on it! As for the Queen sending you a telegram, I wouldn't know perhaps she does. I'll have a word in her ear next time I get the chance!!LOL Nice to see you here.

When my mother turned 100 here in Australia she didn't get a telegram, but a beautiful card with a big colour photo of her on the inside, a greeting and her signature. She also received cards from the Prime Minister, the State Premier, the Governor General and heaps of others. Over here, if notify your member of Parliament, he arranges for all of them. It isn't automatic.

You are bubbling with enthusiasm.It is good. Work more and more,you can hope to reach 1000 in month or two. If you work more number of hours in MyLot it increases your capacity to express and it gives you some dollars to spend as pocket money.

The pocket money is useful hariharbhat but I enjoy the company too. I seem to spend quite a lot of time replying to the responses of my topics but thats okay. Thanks

Well done for reaching the 100, I'm getting there slowly although I'm trying to leave decent worthwhile responses and thinking of good discussion topics at the same time. Quality is better than quantity don't you think? Or maybe not for those hoping to make their fortune on here :-) Good luck in your quest for 1000

I agree with you Bizziebod and I always try to post something interesting but sometimes its for information too. However thats not to say I don't offer rubbish as well. No ones perfect! LOL Thanks for posting.

Thanks for that khitkhat. I'm sorry to confuse you with the word 'ton' but its a little bit of English slang. We sometimes use that word to describe 100. Like " I topped a ton in my car" meaning " I did a hundred miles an hour in my car". Probably a little old fashioned these days.

Congratulations! The first milestone reached, so keep heading forward and before long you'll be on 500. The points seem to grow much faster when you get to 500, so keep at it. I hope you reach your own century, but personally I'm not all that keen, unless my mind and body are still active, anyway.

Well I think you sound as if you are all set for the 100 years. Just think of being in the Oz cricket team and you are batting against England. That will give you the heart to get to there! Thanks for posting Cloud.
