Of course I would want to share it with my family. But, it would not be a monitary gift. I would buy them a house in which to live, new vehicles, furniture, and clothing. I would start a business in which they could work and become secure in the knowledge that they would be paid well and not have to worry about bills again.

Sounds like good solutions to help them out and they wouldn't feel like it was a handout. Thanks for your response.

Butterfly this is to much. :) I recently came into some money from my husbands military life insurance. I have bought a decent used car for one daughter, was going to buy her and her family a used mobile home but their credit was to bad that they didn't pass the mobile home park appilication. We are still trying to figure out a solution to that. I have helped another daughter pay off a car loan and wiped out a debt that she owed me and my husband. I told her to consider it a year of Jubilee. And I'm in the process of starting a business in which all of my daughters are planning on helping with so they can be more financially secure. You said you would do it if you got the chance and I'm actually doing it. It just didn't feel right to have all that extra money and not help when they were struggling.

If I won a lottery, I would go spending and dividing into 5 sections. One for myself, another one for my family, one for my donation, one for keeping and one to visit my friends, such as my sweet friend to see where you are, surely, I would see my friend's difficulty and I really would help out if I could.

Good way to split it up, I think. Thanks for your post, sorry for the delay in my responding. I think donating is important as well as helping out family and friends. It's nice to dream about the winning part and waht you would do with it, huh? Just wish I could put my hypotheses into action! LOL.

So thoughtful of you to include an orphanage in your sharing of money. I believe I would give quite a bit to charities too. Thanks for your comments.

yes, specially if its a huge amount of money. but to make it more concrete I will put to trust fund the money am going to give to them for the education of all my nieces and nephews so that I can be assured that they can finish their studies for I believed that education is the onlyt treasure that cannot be taken away from you

Good response! I think education is important too and trust funds seem to work well for many things. Thanks for your comments.

I would definitely share it with my family. I would share it with my parents and my brother. I would also share it with my inlaws. I think I would ask the people what they wanted the most and then give it to them (within reason). Those are the people that I would share it with though and no other family members b/c I'm not close with the others.

Thank you for your response. I appreciate your honesty in answering. Many people say they would give something to ALL their relatives. But, in truth, I don't think they would.

That's awesome! Trust funds seem to be a good idea no matter what. Tax breaks, restraints on how much someone can spend and when, etc. Thanks for sharing.

I would first off share it with my kids, then parents, inlaws then close friends who are very much in need.
