Why are there so many cars out during the day

have you ever wondered why when you are driving at maybe 2 in the afternoon why there are traffic jams still. I would expect most people to be at work or doing some kind of job. I often wonder what those people are doing that makes them fill the roads at that time of day. Being a student my timetable for classes varies but what excuse does everyone else have

If you look around at who's driving the cars you will usually see either old people out shopping between rush hours, van and lorry drivers going about their business, young mums rushing round getting shopping and stuff in before the kids come out of school and business people in suits going from meeting to meeting! Well thats what it's like where I live!

well I did see them but there just seems to be slightly less than there is at rush hour. it seems now adays the only time you can go out with no traffic is the middle of the night

Still you wouldn't expect it to be almost as busy as 5 or 6 when most people leave what they're doing be it school, work or university. It is an odd one.
