I use regular plates. And I also use paper plates when there is a party or a big get together, or for barbecues at a park.

We use both. We use paper plates for parties, Nicer ones that don't fall apart, and for when we have pizza. We use paper plates when we are camping too. I hate being in the camper doing dishes while everyone else is out enjoying the outdoors.

Oh we use normal china plates in the home and have a set of melamine plates for when we are camping. Paper plates are simply when we are having a lot of people around for a bab-b-que or an outside party and even then it would mean more than 30 people before I would consider using paper plates.
It is not about anything special but I think the less rubbish we collect the better it is for the environment, and I simply do not like paper plates which can go "soggy" very quickly, I find that it actually takes no more time to wash up china plates than it does to dispose of the paper plates. Certainly paper plates are not for camping as far as I am concerned because they still have to be disposed of. With the melamine, we can either wash them up or pack them away in the box to be washed later on when we are back in civilisation.
Give me a china plate anytime and if I cannot have that, they a melamine one will suffice. LOL

we use regular plates. The only time that we use paper plates is for a party and camping, like you. Otherwise I think that it's a waste of money to be throwing them away all the time.

I really hate to toss out anything. The only time I use disposable plates or utensils is when I am hosting large parties. We no longer camp so I do not have that worry.

In the summer, for the holidays, and when I am just lazy, I will use paper plates. We always have a lot of cookouts and usually have company so paper plates it is. The same thing for the holidays. With so many people coming over, I hate the mess of all those dishes, so its paper plates for us. Having so many pots and pans to wash is bad enough.

I have 15 and 12 year old girls, that always "forget to wash their dishes" (that is supposed to be said in a whiny tone like they are lol). So the food of course gets caked on, and when they do finally clean them, it doesn't come off. So, paper plates for everything unless it's runny, then they can use regular plates. Dinner time is regular plates as well.

I think most of us use both paper plates and regular dishes, but it's depends on which
situation you are in.In my opinion,it's not necessary to use paper plates at home, but if you go out for a picnic, hode a party or any situation else that need the plates so much,I perfer to use paper ones.

Only real dishes! Even for parties I use dishes, for outside eating - dishes. As for camping, YUCK - there ae mosquitos there! I also use cloth napkins.
Please don't think that I do these things because I think it's the "fancy" thing to do. It's just more economical in the long run and doesn't screw up the landfills.
I told you I would invite you to be my friend. You should see my kitchen - The pantry, refrigerator, and dishwasher are all filled with Tupperware, not only because I love it - but Oh, My Dear, What would I do if the Tupperware Inspectors came and saw me using some kind of cheap disposable plastic? LOL ~Donna

I use regular dishes.
When it's a party or something we do use paper plates and cups. We also take them to a recycle zone after because we do think it's a waste to just throw them out.
Plastic cups are fun aswell for partys and places where you can't take regular dishes/cups.
Kudos!

Like you, we use regular plates but paper when there is a party.
The great thing is though, we normally over buy in the paper plates, so we will continue to use the paper plates until they are all gone.
Which, with seven children, if really doesn't take that long to go through a large package of paper plates. Hence, why we use regular plates normally.

Just like you I use paper plates for parties and camping. It saves time and effort in washing dishes especially in places where a good plumbing is not in place (during camping). Actually I also use paper plates whenever I feel lazy washing the dishes.
