Your Feet Are Amazing

Did you know that your feet are a map of your entire body? Did you know that a reflexologist can tell you what you have wrong with you just by feeling your feet? This is an amazing art! When I went to a reflexologist she was able to tell me straight away that I had a thyroid problem just by feeling my feet! Reflexologists actually view the hands and feet as a mirror image of the body, it helps stress and lessens wear and tear on the body's system. For example your big toe relates to your head and brain Your heel represents your lower back, hip, knee, ankle and foot. It's a complete and amazing science. So when you next turn your nose up at feet, or when you take your feet for granted, just think what secrets your feet can actually tell you!

It's amazing isn't it .. I know if I have more than usually bad fibro pains using a foot massager can help with the pain in other parts of my body .. Personally I'd love to see an Iridolgist, iridology is an alternative medicine in which patterns, colors, and other characteristics of the iris are examined for information about a patient's systemic health. Practitioners match their observations to iris charts which divide the iris into zones that correpsond to specific parts of the human body. The eye, therefore, acts as a "window" into the body's state of health. I keep trying to 'do' my own eyes but I can't look at the charts and at my eye at the same time hahahah

Wow, that is awesome.. I didn't know there was such a thing. Another interesting form of health science is acupuncture. Have you heard of that one?! My Uncle tried it not too long ago, had some problems with his back and they were able to nail it with just 3 treatments. It works wonders! But that is an interesting science, I'm gonna check it out :o)

Foot Reflexology - You see this photo in Thai foot massage parlours.
When you visit Thailand and you pass by a foot spa or foot massage shop, there is always a picture on the door post. Amazingly, those masseurs and masseuse are highly trained and they know exactly where to focus even if you don't tell them which part of your body aches. Let me see if I can upload the picture here that you can see in Thai foot massage parlor.

Hi Wolfie. No I had no idea, do you believe this is so. I do have some doubts, about it but there are a lot of people that have a lot of faith in reflexology. I do agree that if there is a natural way to repair our bodies we should do that first, so I try to keep an open mind when it comes to the body science. I truly do be leave in acupuncture and acupressure, so why not reflexology.

I love to go for a session of reflexology it helps me to relax. In fact I went for a session last summer and the therapist told me I had a liver problem and after investigation at the local hospital they found I had autoimmune hepititis. Luckily they have found this early before it has done any damage so it can be treated

Yep I have been using it for a long time. I actually buy a shoe that has the reflexology points on them and they have little massaging nubs in them and at first they take some etting used to but after awhile you don't actually remember that your getting your feet stimulated as you walk..

Yes, your feet are like a map of your health. I´ve seen a Reflexologist about a year ago because I was feeling really stressed. She told me about a lot of things which didn´t function properly. She could tell by the pain I experienced when she touched certain parts of my feet. I went to see her twice a week for 3 months and felt a lot better afterwards. It definately showed me to not take my feet for granted.

Wow, so very interesting. Thank you for sharing that with me, wolfie. I do know that if you press on spots on your feet, it will aliviate pain in certain parts of one's body.

Wow, Hehe, the area I live in has no reflexologist =/ Perhaps he/she could tell me how to take better care of my feet. They literally ache after i run, and the stress they take is amazing. Even when i put in gel insoles, they may help for a few minutes, but regardless the pain exists. What can i do?

I went on a 10 week reflexology course and it's brilliant fun to learn. My nose runs when the reflexologist goess between my toes, lol. I got my ITEC diploma in Anatomy and physiology and Swiss Massage and business 3 years ago, Indian Head Massage I cando but missed the exam as my son had pneumonia and I was in hospital with him the day of the test so I can only do it as head massage which I am qualified for anyway. I want to redo my courses when my boys are a little bigger and qualify for reflexology, reiki and aromatherapy too. Try reiki another time - its fantastic - I feel like I am floating when my session is over.

That's interesting. I'm having some health issues and not sure what to make of them. I'm supposed to see a neurologist next month. Maybe I should see a reflexologist too! Might have to check into that. Thanks for sharing this info!

I long to have a reflexology in order for me to relax from work but I didn't have the time to look for a good reflexologist. Hopefully this March I will have the time to look for one. I think it is better to have a reflexology than a body spa because as you mentioned the reflexologist will tell you if there is something wrong with your body.

Reflexology holds the key to a lot of things. One of my daughters is going into massage therapy and they will be learning a lot about reflexology as well. Good topic!

Reflexology is definitely a legitimate science. It goes back centuries in the Orient. Acupressure is similar, but it covers the entire body. The body has hundreds of these pressure points just like the ones in the feet.
