I didn't start kindergarten when my mother signed me up for music lessons, on accordian. I wanted to play organ, but there wasn't any room in the house (this was in the 60s, before thee portable organs came out)
Now I'm learning violin which is quite a challenge - yet I have seen pictures of very little children, four years old tops, playing them.
Now about Yoga, I have no idea ...

I started playing guitar at the age of 6. I took lessons and could read music by the age of eight. I could only play notes at that time. It took a few years to master basic and bar chords. I then started learning chord solos and new several of them by the age of 12. From there it was on to learning blues scales and playing lead. I really enjoy playing the guitar and am very proud of how good I am. I'm also glad my mom put me in lessons at such an early age. I might want to note, not everyone likes the guitar or music. My brother who is one year older than I am dropped out of the lessons after a year.

Its not really a question of what is the best age as there is no best age, for all kids are different, but many kids can learn to play music at the age of three. as for yoga hey at three they will be more limber than I will ever be so teaching yoga and the practices will be wonderful for their mind and self control ...
