Do you rate?

When you go to a discussion to reply to it, do you stop and rate the other comments, or the original post? And when you post a discussion, do you go back to them and actually read the replies? One more question. Do you rate your replies?
I'm just being curious with this post.
My answer to all three is yes - yes - yes. Some times it seems to be pointless, seeing how I'm not sure if it actually affects anyone's final pay and actually reading everyone's reply has taken all day a couple times. But I do it every morning.

I rate the discussions I respond to, and if a response to one of them really stands out to me, I'll rate it as well. And I always rate the responses to my discussions. It's the last thing I do before I leave the site.
It does help with earnings. The more positive ratings you have, the higher your star ranking is, and the more you earn. So rating is actually tied in to earnings.

Yes, I rate both some of the responses in another person's post, and the best response in mine, as I think that's the best way to compliment the writer whom you think has given a good reply, even if you do think your own is equally as good.
I think this is what Mylot is all about, and I take an interest in all the different responses and reasons for them.

normally I only rate the original post but not the comments, but sometimes when I read some comments and think that is very good response, I will rate it. Unless the content of the post really interest me, otherwise i will not go back to that post again after i post my comment

I try to rate as I am going. But my unresolved discussions can get me a little behind at times. I don't rate best answer untill my replies die down. Say maybe a week or so.
Posting to your responces apparently does affect your rating. So I do reply to most.

yes i rate most of the discussions that i read, if they are orginal and meaning ful i will give them positive rating, if not i just leave it be. when i post a discussion i do read every single response that i get and all the good responses get a positive rating, if it wasnt what i was looking for or if i think that it was just someone trying to make a quick nickle ) one word or half sentences responses) then no i do not rate at all.

My answers are yes. Rating gives the authors of posts a sort of reputation on whether he is good in giving feedbacks or not. See the star beside my avatar? That is my current reputation and i intend to improve it. As for me, i rate most replies. I give positive if i think it was a good post and it gives value to the discussion thread. I give negative to those posts or replies that i think do not really contribute much to the forum. But I also take into consideration those replies from members below 100 posts. If i find their responses negative, I reconsider and do not rate them for the meantime. Until I find them really not good in delivering, then maybe that is the time i should give them a negative score. As much as possible let us rate all responses, to see how we all are doing in this community. =)

I do rate discussions, and not just my own. Its good to show people that their efforts in putting up a solid and good response does not go unnoticed.

I don't think it affects final pay.The admin at mylot.com has a more discreet way of awarding cash for discussions.I believe that it is poitless trying to do all of that at all imes.I think it should be once in a while.

I do rate the discussion, and the comments (but only if it is my discussion) I don`t feel comfortable rating comments of someone elses discussion . I rate only my discussions

I read and rate all of my responses to discussion that I've started. And I will rate "most" of another discussion. But when there's 15 pages of a discussion, it's hard to rate each one and still earn money for yourself. ;/

It's a simple system. If you feel the replying is doing so with a useful contribution to the discussion, you should give them a positive rating (+) If you feel they did not contribute to it, you should either give them a negitive rating (-), or no rating at all. If you feel they have broken a site rule in their reply you should report them (!). The same goes for people starting discussions.
You will find the (+)(-)(!) on the right side of each discussion or reply.

When i feel the topics deserves to be rated i do.
Alot of the time i will vot but not always, since if the poster replys in a rude way to someone it puts me off.
I always read before voting so. the answers yes, when it's the right time.
