rich and poor a classification???

i am not rich and not that poor, i can say i'm in a middle class family, i am working in a company for about 3 years now, the employee are dominated by women, i have a department mate who is rich and beautiful, she was invited to become a godmother of the two employee, a first it was ok that they don't get me as one too, but when i found out that all the godmother are rich then it made me think that it is really money matter to them. what can you say does it really matter specially if those person is closer to you than those godmother. it just made me wonder,
