i responded to a discussion once that i will never ever give negative ratings , , i said , , i'll just leave them without ratings , , well , , i take it back , , i am sorry but for the past few days , , i have been giving negative ratings to other mylot users , , before, i have been wondering why are there some who give negative ratings , ,now i understand why , , it all happened when i started a discussion , , i really got annoyed to some responses , , i don't know , , but they don't really make any sense , , that discussion ended up with other mylot users posting their referral links , , :-S , , it really pissed me off! , , and one more , , i was browsing discussions i wanted to respond to when i saw one making no sense at all , , don't you hate it when everyone posts and responds to your discussion that doesn't make sense? , , i mean , , i have been draining my brain just to start a new topic and am really digging my nervous system just to reply to good posts , , and yet , , there are just some people whose replies are simply , "yes" "no" "i don't know" , , :( why are some people just posting for the sake of posting and earning money? , , hate them

I have noticed this too. I can't make heads or tails out of some of the words. When i signed up for mylot i am quite sure it said you had to write in English. But some of this on here is impossible to understand and i have noticed they will get 30 or more responses, where i wont get the first response to my discussion i thought was interesting and atleast readable. Maybe we should all give negative reponses to these that make no sense because it is not fair for ignorance to over power intelligence sort-of-speak.

one more thing , , i can't add a response to them , , ot's difficult to have a comment for a simple yes or no , , and i also agree to you , , i myself are having difficulties having responses from my own discussions and yet those people who are posting one liners get more responses than me , , :S idiots

I think maybe it's because they have their big friend network of other 1 line discussion and answer posters that start and respond to get it going and that's how they get the volume. What a crock. I also think MyLot will get fed up with it and do something...

I completely agree that we should go around and mark those that can't write in complete sentences or answer the discussion correctly with a negative rating. The one word responses are those just trying to make money for nothing. Good luck to you!

Just kidding. I do dislike it because people are doing it to deceive MyLot into paying them for crappy one or two word responses. I guess these people forgot that the word...quality...is also a requirement. I know it's lame but I have faith that they will be penalized sooner or later. I just came across a response on a discussion I responded to that was 5 paragraphs long and had nothing to do with the topic. That's just as annoying, no? My comment to him was...okay professor.

I agree with you, it is really unfair to see one word discussions that has so many responses. And with regards to the links, is that allowed here? I can't think of any good discussions to start too because I only got few responses for each discussions that I've started. I seldom get 100+ responses on my discussions.

I understand where you are coming from. I usually don't use the negative ratings. But i have started using them lately. And i use them for the reasons that you said. I can't stand it when i go to read other responses and they don't even have anything to do with the question that was asked. That's when i started giving them a negative response. And for anyone that wants to know, no i donot give a negative response to people who disagree with me... i dont judge someone elses opionion or cultures and i don't want anyone else to judge mine either.

just chill man...every one is responsible for their actions..you can;t carry the whole world on your vack lol..i learnt that the hard way..and that's how i broke it lol..try to counteract your pissy mode with looking at discussions that stimulate your intellect and soften your heart..then the lazy buggers won't brown you off lol..and do what i do..laugh it off!!

Just calm down, kababayan. Don't get it into your nerves. I know what you mean. Making and posting an intellectual topic is hard and all you would receive are senseless replies. It's very annoying. But just leave them be. As long as you are happy with your discussion, then that's it.

sometimes you just have to give a - rating. Whe it's obvious that someone either hasn't read the post completely or gives the yes or no answer like you said, then a negative rating is a must in my opinion

we both are sail ing in same boat.i wont accept the post without sense with a single word.when i gave some discussion, i will wait for good response,but i will get only in single words like u said. its irritating me some times. but i dont use to do negative rating.let them be free.

yes ur right. u should give negative ratings to them. mylot also taking care about that fellows. They will not get any money by simply posting just yes or no. so mylot users this is a warning to u all.Respond to the discussion clearly , there matter is important ur matter should be related to that discussion. nice post amaine.

You are right. I've seen mylot members answering posts without any sense at all. I've even seen one which doesn't mean anything at all - no sentence, just letters. And it was long. I think maybe he had written two paragraphs of those letters.
I also noticed that the posts that get more responses are those that mean nothing. And some discussions have been repeated. I think maybe good posts get less responses because it's hard for other members to relate to it or to find something relevant to say.

i agree. well, for those who do not know, posting referral links in forums are not allowed as per rules and regulations of the myLot community. for other members, continue on doing this and other pissed off members will recommend your accounts for deletion. don't worry my friend, there are still those who value quality articles. many still create interesting posts, let's just put our attention to them. =)

I know what you mean. I have never given a negative rating, but I can understand why you would want to give one. I mean, it's not that difficult to put at least a little thought into what you post. Even if it is a topic that just requires a one word answer, you can elaborate a little more.

I haven't yet used the negative rating. not sure if i will but my guess is that it's likely. There's a few spammers (which they are) who post meaningless replies like one i recieved in my football topic. (i messaged the guy asking what he mean't becuase i curious) - so far no reply and i doubt he will but yes it annoys me but i quickly remind myself this online.
So i won't get to bothered, if much at all.

I agree its kind of out of control on here but Im having such a hard time wondering why people keep complaining. Theres not much we can do about it and on any given day theres at least 10 topics that are almost similar to this one. People should just enjoy the site for what it is worth. If people keep complaining to MYLOT I can see what will happen, they will take the earning system away altogether. We have to ban together in all us users and come up with a way to drive these people off here like dont answer any of their conversations and so on.

I think it is bad to give some one for negative marks because he we just came for fun amd share our thoughts for each others and make money also. i know some one wirttien things not good bad its unfair to drop he/she positions for all. this is somethings friends gathters site and all gattherd to make share money too.

I see negative ratings and the abuse rating as a way to help Mylot.com clean up the site. And if that is what it takes, then all power to the negative rating system!

I am relatively new to the mylot experience. But I have already noticed that some of the responses people give are just a waste of time and words. It has nothing to do with the topic. I really enjoy mylot for the most part, b/c I am getting a lot of information from different views. I didn't know you could give a negative rating, but then I haven't learned how to add friends yet either. Give me time. Thank you for bringing up this topic though, it needs to be addressed.

If you can make money for doing it, then they will, and that's all their is too it. People aren't in anything for the fun of it anymore. I am though.. I used to participate in yahoo answers, but someone told me about this place and told me that it was like answers, but I could make a few cents here and there. I think it's fun, but other people.. dont' like to waste their time, and if there's money in it.. they will get it any way they can.
