Why is it said that breakfast is the most important meal?

breakfast is the most important meal of the day because of the following:
1. breakfast actually came from two words- break and fast. since during the long hours of the night, you sleep without food, the early morning breakfast is a way to break the fasting you made at night.
2. the energy you get from food at breakfast is what fuels you to start your day. energy is what keeps us moving.
3. studies have shown that children and adults who eat breakfast perform well than those who dont.
4. Heard of the saying "At breakfast, eat like a king, at noon, eat like a queen, and at night, eat like a beggar"..

I guess because you need the energy for everything you do during the day. Also, your body has gone several hours (while you sleep) without eating and it needs nourishment after this "fast". It also gets your metabolism going.
I like to have fruit or fruit smoothies for breakfast or cereal or oatmeal.

I don't have a lot of time in the morning to eat breakfast, but I will die from hunger in class if I don't eat anything, so I'll usually eat a Pop-tart or two and then after class I'll go pick up a bagel and cream cheese.

Breakfast is your first meal. It is important because the "system" is starting up with breakfast. It helps the body burn fat easier , and it make sure that you have a better concentration during the day.
I eat either cereal with milk, or some bread with cheese. Also drink juice of some kind and take my vitamines :)

Breakfast is the most important because when you wake up you haven't eaten for anywhere between 8 and 12 hours, and your body and brain need food so they'll have energy to function.
Studies have shown that children and workers who have breakfast perform better at doing tasks than those who haven't.

yes breakfast is the most important meal of the day but we miss that most people just don't have time to make it or they just don't eat breakfast i just can't say what is wrong with me i sometimes eat breakfast but sometimes i do but i do make sure that my kids do eat because they have bones that are still growing and need all the nutrutions that they need to help them get big and strong and they are my num,ber one that i have to worry about than me and its scres me sometimes that they will be off to school this year

as we sleep in the night and get up after eight to ten hours of time gap our stomach is empty and so they say it is important to have breakfast.. we should always have a light and healthy breakfast.. it should be either toasts with juice or chappathis with horlicks, but a light and healthy one

Breakfast is the most important of the day because you are BREAK ing from Fast ing all night from sleeping. You have 8 hours with nothing in your stomach,and your body and brain is vitamin depleted from sleeping all night.so it is time to refuel and fill up. It will start your metabolism and energy for the entire day,so it helps keeps you going through the day.

Breakfast is important because at the beginning of each day you need energy so that you can do your things in the whole day.. you need energy to start working etc.. and also some medical research said that by not eating breakfast it can ruin your heart or something.. however I dont have the link to the actual document. I think breakfast should not be too full .. it should be just medium.. say for example sandwich and milk, or cereal, or juices.. but some people also eat hearty breakfast such as sausage, pancakes etc2 .. I like it too but have no time to prepare it.. :)

Breakfast is the most important meal we have to take..! imagine we will worked so hard until lunch, if we will not eat our breakfast where can we get our energy? the good food for breakfast is rice and egg, with chocolate drinks, thats my ideal brekfast, or even, hotdogs, chicken, fish..! thats good for our body too..
