Nike clothing and shoewear are outrageous in price. Just because you sponsor the biggest athletes in the world doesnt mean that they are buying their clothing. I dunno know about you but im not paying 180 bucks for a pair of lebrons. Anyone who would or wouldnt buy a pair let me know if im being cheap or crazy?

Personally, I refuse to pay high amounts for anything that has a 'name' on it. I dont think they last any longer and have found that the nike brand clothing always goes out of shape after just 2 or 3 washes.

people only do it for the popularity. if you have nice new clothes/shoes then you tend to have more friends. thats how the world works.

I do not think that you are cheap or crazy. Those are just high prices for shoes. It is not like it is gold or someting like that. I just think people are crazy to have such prices for shoes.

No, you are not cheap or crazy, it is indeed true that Nike is way too much costly these days, i guess this could be because, as you said, because of top sports persons endorsing them, for which Nike has to shed a major amount of their profit and hence the end result the prices are too high for a normal person to buy.

No you're not being cheap or crazy. In fact you're being smart about boycotting the idea of buying these products. I remember i bought something like a pair of blacktops when they were out and the hottest pairs of shoe on the market at that time. Was it worth buying these shoes? Not exactly, It all depends on how you look at the situation.. really! I bought them out of a pure desire to fit in. Yeah, I know.. sure how stupid right. I was just a kid I didn't know any better,... sometimes we do things that don't make any sense. Doesn it make thing better for us. When we do things like that no. But hey.. I got a nice pair of brand new shoes out of the deal. With my own hard earned cash too, only $120.00
OK, 120.00 (blacktops)+ T-shirt for free - 180 Lebron's back then I got a better deal! It was in one word...... priceless!
