3 things on deserted island

Why is it when you are asked if you could bring three things onto a desrted island you dont wish for a boat, a captain that knows what hes doing, and whoecares what else. lol no one ever thinks of that. why not?

to be honest everytime i've thaught of this question i've never included a boat. mainly bc when someone asks me this question im usually not on this deserted island for a long period of time. but now that you mention it i probably will include a boat lol.

I have been asking this question for years!!! I have always included a raft just incase for any reason the boat might sink. THANKS!

I guess people don't see those as a must things to have. I would personally go with those options first.
