yes I highly disregard you joining anything that asks for a fee, most if not all of then are scams designed to rip you off giving false hopes of data entry jobs that would make you richer. try chrisabbyy11's advice. I'm actually one of her friends who gets freelance and data entry jobs from classified posting lists like craiglist.org and getafreelancer.com and I get legitimate work from home jobs and I getpaid without having to pay any fees. well, hope this information helps. happy data entry/freelance job hunting! ^_^

there are some jobs are there that would be genuine, but not those that would require a fee. usually this would be jobs posted in jobs and employment section of classifieds like for example craiglist.org. I have friends who find data entry and work from home jobs there and she gets paid.

well, to put it simply, data entry jobs are jobs that would require you to type, transcribe, fill up forms, process orders etc. most if not all of these that we get in our mailbox are scams and would require you to send a fee. I advise you to delete them from you mailbox and don't even get tempted to join because they will rip you off. There are some out there that are legit. But the legitimate and paying ones would never require you to pay anything because they really need your services and therefore they would be the ones to pay you and not the other way around.

They always seem to involve an upfront fee of some kind - and we're always warned that these are scams, so I've never gone for them. I'd like to, and I'm sure there are genuine data entry jobs out there, but it's finding them that's the trouble!
I wouldn't pay money to get involved in anything like this. I've been scammed before (years ago)...

I obviously got ripped-off. The link on their support on the home page was not functional, only the payment link, so I concluded maybe after the payment process I would be brought to their other page where I could do things like change my preference, start doing my work. But after the payment procedure, the page just displayed thank you. That's it. A thank you!!! Boang.

Most links you will get here as responses will be just to get you to sign under them, I have signed up with so many, better make a separate account on yahoo to register in any of them, next tip is always shut off your browser window if the other person is asking you for money. Those who actually pay you wont ask for money upfront, mylot never did. So avoid getting scammed and ripped off.
there are no data entry sites available, why will a company pay you online for stuffing envelopes or entering data a work that can be easily done by their receptionist or a high school educated peon. So please as oldbuddy said, don't put your golden goose down in order to pick a turkey.

I don't have a data entry job online I have heard about them. I have not seen any proof of payments though. I do have a data entry job though at the Wisconsin Geologic and Natural History Survey.

Many have reported about the scams of data entry jobs. But it would have been better if they had published the details about such scam sites. This would save others from getting cheated. And there should be some body which detects and punishes such cyber crimes.

I've never had any online Data Entry Job but do know of a site that offers it constantly. The problem with those kinds of jobs is that you have to have a really low price at first to get your first jobs - then you gain the experience and you gain good ratings and then you can up your price a little. It's like auction of services :P
I have a friend who has earned a lot from it because of the same tactics (offering really low prices then gaining a good reputation etc).
I can give you a link if you're interested :P Just add me up and send me a PM :)
