Monday is just another day of the week for me these days but it was a bit different when I did work. The problem these days now that we are retired is more a case of remembering what day it actually is. LOL

Hi ossie. I didn't realize you are also retired. I know exactly what you mean. Remembering what day it is can be a chore sometimes. lol

Hi kdarrell. Good to hear from you :) Monday was always my catch up day too. Sometimes it was mom's day of rest if we had a busy weekend.

I really kinda like Mondays. Although it's wonderful having my kids home for the weekend, it's really nice when they go back to school on Monday so I can get some work done. (sounds strange i know)

When all four of my kids were home I felt the same way. Monday was a day to get something done because the kids and the hubby left for most of the day. It was always nice when they came back home though wasn't it?

My boyfriend and I request off every Monday. This is the day we set aside for chores, doctor appointments, and errands. It's also the only day we are able to spend entirely together and that is something we treasure. Also, every other Monday we plan a day trip. The last time we traveled into the highlands of North Carolina. We paned for gems, hiked, photographed waterfalls, and spent the whole day smiling at each other. I think we forget to enjoy each other when we allow our lives to separate. I for one love Mondays.

I think it's wonderful that you and your boyfriend set aside time each week to spend alone together....smiling and enjoying each other's company. No wonder you love Monday.

For me, Monday is one of the busiest day of the week! As I work in the after-sales, the shops work on saturday and we don't! Most of their customers only have the saturday to go to the shop, to buy things or to come back because of problems... So the shops, and sometimes the customers themselves, contact us (per email) already on Friday evening or on Saturday. Therefore, there's a lot more work on Monday! But, at least, one knows whe he stands up on that morning!!! The worst is to go to work and to have nothing to do... The day is soooo long then!

I've often heard Monday referred to as Blue Monday. I guess when things go wrong it would certainly feel blue.
