Natural: How do you keep your underarm(s) fresh?

How do you keep them fresh? Any special natural ways that you use so that the awful smell does not plague you and your clothes? Is there anything simple and effective to deoderant? Any special types of foods/items that when you mix will leave you smelling good? How long have you been using it for?

My advice - you should always take a bath and use a soap with germ and bacteria protection. Make sure that you rinse your body well with clean water. Use a deodorant that doesn't have strong scent. You should change clothes everytime you take a bath. And make sure that your clothes are always newly washed.

Secret, Dove, Soft n Dri, Adidas. Those are the anti-perspirant/deodorants I use. Gotta swap brands from time to time as one brand will quit working after a month or so of using it.

Shave under your armpits. Try to use a medicated soap to wash your underarms. Find a suitable anti-perspireant deodorant. Finally take frequent showers or at least wash your underarms frequently

No one has even been complaining that I have smelly odor, not even my wife who sleeps beside me every night. Usually I use famous brand soap to clean myself. One of my friends uses Octopirox to get rid of the smelly odor under her arms.

I think it is so easy to use deoderant but a friend of mine uses some sort of cystal and it seems to work ok for her...

try an all natural deodorant stone...they can be purchased at many places, are very cost effective, they leave no residue on clothes, and best of all, are much better for you as they do not clog your pores as regular ones do..

I dont use any deodorant but I take a shower everyday and then I put powder under my arms. When a person starts using deodorant then they have to the rest of their life. I never did so Im kind of lucky.LOL

Thanks marian_o9. Is it hot in your part of Australia? Where did you get your deoderant 'mum' from? Is it very common? Have you changed it since then? What about your other favourite ones? Hope you respond!

Before, I don't use any deodorant for my underarms. I just take a bath everyday and clean my self before sleeping. But I guess, there would still be a need for deodorants. As I grow up, I noticed alot of changes in my body, I sweat more than before. With this reason, I really have to use something to make me feel comfortable all day long. That's why I decided to use "Black and White" deodorant, it gives a pleasant smell and make my underarms dry all through out the day.

I use Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Deoderant. It does not contain Aluminum, which is toxic to the body.

If one wants to avoid commercial products as anti perspirants,, take a bar of coconut oil soap, or Ivory soap as long as its a natural product, wet one end of it and use this instead, putting on several layers of the natural bar soap, allowing each layer to try before putting on the next, it works rather well.

I use store bought deodorant because it's easy and effective. I know there's some issue with the aluminum in the product, but I usually don't think about it and in fact wasn't aware that there were alternatives. I always by Secret brand and love the smell and level of protection. I like to smell good!

I do not know about anything else like that. I like deoderant and that is the only thing that have worked for me so far.

I suppose you are a boy, though it doesn't look from your profile. I have no problem with it, because I use epilator on my underarm, but my boyfriend shaves his underarm, and the most men I know does the same. I prefer deo spray, but my boyfriend uses Old Spice stick. He tried a lot kind of stick, and it was the best. Regarding the price too! GOod luck to you.

Hi, engineous. The only thing that I will use under my armpits is deodorant. I use Suave or Dove. Anything else, I don't bother with. I try to stick to the same brand of deodorant for my armpits. When I was younger, I used to use Teen Spirit and Feelin' Fresh, from Avon.

i couldn't use any of those natural stuff as it doesn't work for me: they say use lemon juice, the crystal deo, baking soda, even apple cider vinegar.

Hello engineous welcome Each person has his/her characteristic body odor, if one does not bath for days together, or twice at least in summer, he/she smells bad, it is better to take bath using some scented soap, you are talking of the underarm smell, it is more if there are hair lol I shave off them each week, apply scented talcum poweder.. Thanks for sharing. Professor. . Cheers
