Hi this is the next step in saving your money when shopping so are you hungry? If your belly is empty then your decision making is impaired. All sorts of strange clutter will seem essential. Our bodies get confused between the desire for food and inedible objects. So if you are hungry, eat an apple, a bread roll, some chips, anything. Then wait for fifteen minutes before moving on.

this is so true too...I hate to go grocery shopping when I am hungry ...I buy so many things to eat " now " that they end up spoiling sometimes...

The funny thing is, that there are houndreds of foods, that I won't eat in any case, but when I get hungry - and I mean REALLY hungry - I would eat everything, from that moment my belly takes on the control.
The truth is, that we spend a lot of money on food, that are just no good and not healthy, It's really hard nowadays to live and eat healthy, because of the non-stopping everyday rush.

Heya Kathy, I know this one to well :( I always make the mistake of going shopping, especially for food when I am hungry and always end up buying things I wouldn't normally buy but seemed good at the time, Like snack foods and stuff like that. I try to eat before hand but sometimes it just doesn't end up happening. Tanika.

LOL, I have always said this too when I am grocery shopping. I cannot go if I am hungry because when I do, my bill always ends up being much higher than normal. Everything in the store appeals to me when I do this.

if you want to buy some things to eat is very good to buy them when you are hungry, because if you are hungry you must t obuy something that is good to eat.Actually, when you are not hungry, and you go for shopping you buy some things that aren't good to eat because you aren't hungry and if you aren't hungry you don't want do a wastage.

I've heard this tip before and it does work! There's too many times I go to the supermarket and end up coming home with at least 5 loaves of bread due to me being hungry and being able to smell the wonderful bakery. My only problem is that I usually go shopping after work so naturally hungry by then anyway!

Oh this is so very true. I know when I've gone to do the shopping when I'm hungry I buy a lot more food and not always the healthiest of foods. Everything looks so good at that point. If I can eat first then I don't have as much of a problem. Not everything in the store will tempt me to buy it.

Thanks for the tip! I try not to shop when I'm hungry but it doesn't always work out that way. An even bigger money-saver is to leave your kids home with your husband while you go grocery shopping. I swear, two thirds of the impulse purchases made while grocery shopping are things that he or the kids have tossed into the cart.

It's funny but I do my best grocery shopping when I'm hungry. If I'm not hungry, I'll go up and down the aisles thinking, well I don't want this and I don't want that and that I'm not really hungry. When I get home and I'm putting the groceries away I realize I've hardly bought any food.
