What is with the croissant picture for the vegan section on this site. They aren't suitable for vegans!

Sorry for being ignorant but Vegan's don't eat bread?
I really need to brush up on my information because I am clearly not up to date on who eats what. Maybe I'm confusing Vegan with Vegetarian's? Maybe you can explain to be the difference (?)
Do Vegans only eat things grown and Vegetarian's eat everything except meat?

Vegetarians can vary a lot with what they eat, but generally they just don't eat meat and fish.
Vegans don't eat any animal products so no meat, fish, dairy, eggs and honey, or any products containing any of those.
Vegans do eat bread, but in the USA a lot of it contains honey. Some bread in the UK contains milk and some bakers grease the tins with lard, but generally most break in the UK is vegan.

Thanks for clarifying this. I was going to ask the same question. Are you a Vegan due to allergies or food intolerances, or is it strictly a choice? It seems like such a restrictive diet; I thought being a Vegetarian would be difficult, but this would be nearly impossible! How long have you followed it?

I'm vegan because I think it is cruel to animals to eat them or breed them for us to drink their milk.
I have been vegan for over 10 years. It can be a bit restricting, but I think its worth it.

Hamburgers have the same icon so go figure it out. OKlahoma has a house for a state? Maybe mylot should review this and improve...

yes I think they should as the quality of some of the pictures is terrible, and they are all different sizes. Maybe a standard size would be better and it would be nice if occasionally they edited the photos and took out the rubbish!

Well you could pretend that it is a vegan croissant LOL I know they exist as I have friends who are completely vegan and they eat them from specific shops or make them at home if they are domestically gifted :)

I do have a recipe for them on my vegan recipe website as it happens, but it is very unusual for them to be vegan, and I don't know of any shops that sell them (in the UK anyway), it would be great to be able to buy them.
