I was told that eating as much pizza as i do, i could gain too much weight, have heart problems, bad facial skin and even cellulite!! i don't really understand as the pizza i eat is the veggie option!! sweetcorn, mushrooms, peppers, onion and jelapeno's... i don't see how bread and veg could make me gain so much weight...! what do you think?

I make my own pizza so I can avoid some of the fat. Even the veggie kind could be bad for you if you eat it too much. It all depends on the crust, cheese and sauce used.

Pizza isn't just 'bread and veg', that's the problem. Pizza contains a lot of cheese, which is full of fat. A lot of retailers offer reduced fat cheese on their pizza for that reason. Pizza is one of those foods that you should only eat occasionally, maybe once or twice a fortnight at the most. Try making your own pizza, by using reduced fat cheese, grilling it to drain off any excess fat and with loads of fresh veggies.

I love veggie toppings too. Eating too much pizza though isn't good party because of the cheese that's high in saturated fat and cholesterol. The crust is usually white flour which doesn't have many nutrients or fiber. If the crust was whole grain and you skipped the cheese, it would be MUCH healthier.
