okay so you wanted to know how did I find treasure hunting so appealing and what motivated me for more.
When I was a kid, I used to dream of finding some lost long treasure. But didn't get into this until 5 years ago.
One day I was introduced to crystals from this chick on this internet. I used them to wart off spirits, that was tormenting my son and I....I had several bad spirits that was in our old home that was destroyed by the 2004 hurricanes. I anyways, I would put the crystals under my pillow every night. at the time I was deep into spirituality and also used crystals to meditate. I decided it would be nice to start collecting them, so this is where my passion for rocks come in. I see the beauty they behold, it's god's beauty. :)
Shortly after, my husband highschool friend contacted him through classmates.com and a old and new friendship began. :) I finally met him last september after years of talking on the phone, and yep, we went detecting was awesome! :)The guy jeff is a metal detecting junkie and for years I listen to him talk about what he found and got me thinking this could be fun. the minute I put the detector in my hand, I knew I was hooked, there was no turning back now. So from there I went online to the public library system here and ordered every book I could possibly find on treasure hunting, spent every night for months studdying these books. :) I had stacks of books, people laughed, but I didn't, neither did my husband, He would tell people, she is going to find something one day...he says she breathes this stuff, lmao, well actually I almost do! :) Jeff and my husband can't get over how much I have taken to this and how much I get into it, Mark thought this was a phase, I told him, no not no phase, you all created a monster. :)
the fossils I got into by walking my dog, yep, All the limestone, there are fossils everywhere, so I got down and started to examine them and noticed cool things about these rocks, they had prehistoric things in them. I have found tons of broken corals, weird little creatures I couldn't tell you want they are called. I have found tons of muscles. Some small bones, little tiny plants and more things, it's interesting what you can find.. I thought even more treasures. :) AWESOME!

Glad all worked out, too bad the crystals seemed to call the energy to your home to destroy it. Could have been a better way. Anway, the approach to detecting has been a good one and now you share it here. You have many more years to detect at every chance you have. Surprises will continue to come your way and am hoping you share the joys here. Thanks for sharing this snapshot of your life and am glad to call you friend.

Well no, it was a very good thing this all happened. It all had meaning. And our home wasn't the only one that was hit. some of my neighbors homes too were destroyed too.
The home was not completely destroyed, the new owner, had to replace the entire roof fix all the wiring, totally remodle the entire home, something i didn't have the money to do.
Hurrican charlie hit August 13th, my birthday and took the front half of my roof off, peeled it back like a tin can, then hurricane frances too, the back part of my roof off and Genie killed all the power in my walls. and was roof was caving in, and mold so bad, I couldm't live their due to the fact you could never get all the mold out of that home and I developed an alergic reaction to it and it would litterly killed me in that home
Fema helped us out and we got a new home. :) A better home :) Plus, I got away from those spirits that still do haunt that place.
This entire neighborhood is haunted, I have heard freaky things from my neighbors too. the land where we live belonged to the seminole indians and they camped here....Something bad happened once here and the spirits are mad.
I have been very spiritually gifted my whole life and so is my son....I have seen ghosts and can feel their presence. My poor son hated that home and so did I...I was scared to be by myself at night, cause weird things would happen in the night. Once I was home all by myself and was in my bedroom and I heard something pick up my computer chair and throw it, I ran out to the living room and found my computer chair across the room in the kitchen, definatley not were I left it. Once I woke up after hearing a big banging noise and woke up and there was a man standing in front of me looking at me, blinked me eyes and he was gone. Freaked me out, lmao that poor child wouldn't go to sleep without my vigin mary statue, he said it protected him at night and when he didn't have it, the spirits would torment him after he went to sleep. We are both so greatful to get out of there.

yes. it's always a good start to begin from scratch. you'll never know where your dreams and dedications can bring you. so, instead of sitting down and just letting your dreams pass you by, it's nice that you are working on something that really interests you.

Wow, now I can understand your assion a little better, I love crystals ans often bring pretty rocks and shell home from the beach in a morning, we get a lot of white crystal on our beach, I've never tried metal detecting and am quite happy to wander around with my dog looking at the tideline for pretty shells etc.
I'm so glad it makes you so happy and feel complete.
What a wonderful world it would be if we all could find something to make us feel so good!

for real, white crystals? That would be awesome just to see that! :) I would be in heaven! :)
here in florida, we have a place called sebastian inlet, I find large conch shells on the beach after hurricanes. The shells there have been worn down so much they look like beautiful stones. They are all polished and everything. I never seen shells like that before. I was just amazed and brought some home too! :)

Being an American Indian I love to go walking out in the woods, looking for arrowheads and unusual rocks. It is nice to be alone with your own thoughts, away from the cares of the world among the trees. Unfortunately, I live in the city and rarely get to go out looking for things in the forests. There is said to be pirate treasure buried close to where I live, but so far no one has ever found it. Perhaps someone building a house close to me will put in a swimming pool and dig up a chest of treasure.

I totally agree with you, outside in nature is awesome, no place I would rather be except when those darn pesty mosquitoes are out, then time to bust out the deep woods off! :)
Yes, yes, yes, you are right about the pirate treasure, I have heard several places in texas has pirate treasure.
Alot of pirates treasure still not found here in florida, one day I would like to find their booty. :)

when we were younger, my brother and i always join friends to play a treasure hunting game. well, we all know how it works, right?
but we usually lose the game.
anyway, i knew lots of people here in the philippines who are into treasure hunting. and they do get some good treasures. like gold and antiques which are worth so much.
however, they do really invest a huge amount money on it. well, good for them. they are just doing great in what they do.
as for you, don't give up. what you've found for now are the start of everything. you've got interest in it, you've got the will to learn more and you really are determined.
success starts from small dreams!

Yes, I do! I love everything, and I love even the plants too, which I'm into too. I worked at several plant nurseries too in my life and learned alot about plants! :)
I try never to miss the little things in life, I even like watching the bugs. :)
Everything is a mystery to me and I enjoy everything about mother nature. Don't quite know why I'm so strongly connected to mother earth, or so spiritually blessed...but I feel it has to be for a reason, there is a reason this is my calling, everything is for a reason.

They hold energy.
Once I was meditating and I was doing past life regression and I had my crystal in my hand, the energy from the crystal was so amazing, it felt like it was pumpming energy into my hand and up my arm and into my brain. I had never had an experience like that, but was so totally cool though! I have have alot of positve energy from wearing crystals, I usually wear beads.
you might want to check this site out, you can learn more here! :)

Thanks for sharing your childhood dreams with us all. As I read your story it brought back memories of my childhood, I use to go with my Dad and we would walk for what seemed miles to me with a metal detector looking for arrowheads and lost money. My Dad passed away back in 1996 and I still have the arrowheads that he found on our many ventures. We never did find any money, But my memories are worth more to me than gold.

It is so refreshing to know someone whose dreams as a child have become a reality. I too had dreams, but living in a dysfuncional family my dreams got lost. I hope you stay well and find the big one. Take care Tiggyann.

This is really interesting reading :) I wish i can do the same as you, I collected rocks when I was younger and have an interesting collection but now living in the city I have no chance to go hunting for rocks anymore :( yes i dreamed about treasure hunting too and metal detecting, etc .. I would do it if I ever will live in an area that allows me to do so.
