do you ever want to run away from your life and hide on a deserted island?

You must have read my mind! I would love to do this! I don't want to sound like I am self-pitying here, but my life has got into a big rut, and sometimes I just feel so trapped, that I would just love to up and leave and just 'vanish' and never return, that sounds selfish too because I would break all my connections and just go and lick my wounds. I am extremely independent and don't need others for company, so would enjoy the solitude and the peace. My desert island would be a haven, a sanctuary, an escape from the trials and tribulations that is my life. Do I sound selfish here? Thanks for giving me a topic that I can let my imagination run free, if only I could do it, but too many responsibilities face me and running away would be a cowardly way out.

Yes, I'd love to hide on a deserted island, away from the stress and hatred that is so much a part of life now. In fact, when I can't get to sleep at night, I imagine myself somewhere all alone, and that always relaxes me enough to sleep.

When I feel like running away from life, it is due to depression and aggravation, unfortunately. I wish it were daydreaming, believe me. I hate winter and a deserted tropical island sounds like a wonderful place to hang out until May.

Only everyday from 8 am to 5 pm..... If I could work from an island somewhere with a beach front thatched hut and a laptop and fax machine life would truly be perfect :)

well i would really want to go on a desserted island with friends. that would be great! well as for your question, no i love my life now and i wouldnt want to trade this one from anything.

EVERY freakin' day! It would be awesome to just go live off the land, and bake on a beach, and not to have to do anything if I didn't feel like it! I might get lonely, but I could send invitations, and make it understood-that visitation is by invitation ONLY!!!! I could live that life!

Constantly!! I am not into big crowds and enjoy the peace and solitude.I have dissapeared for a few hours at a time escaping into the backwoods to sit and read.

Yes I do sometimes dream to run away and live on a dessert Island enjoying the Peace and no one to bug you no Phone calls trying to sell you things it would be bliss lol

After the day I spent today I would love to run away and hide. I wish I could me without the worries of kids, bills, grandchildren, husbands. I have a friend who once a year checks into a hotel and splurges on herself.

Not lately. I want to dream of things I want to make real in my life. Going to an island and pretending is not good enough. What happens when you come back to your real place of living? The same things would be there to greet you.

I really would. sometimes life gets so crazy that I would just like to leave it all behind and go away with just my husband. The thing is that the problems would just be there when I return so I better just stick with living through my trials and working them out the best I can.

i'd really wanted to..but you know, we have to face whatever life give us..facing difficulties and challenges in life and overcoming it would give strenght and hope to face the world with courage and dignity..
