Have heard that when you think you need a sweet treat that if you eat a peice of bacon that they urge subsides. Also cooking with more fruit may satisfy that craving for a dessert with your balanced meal and that could carry you through the desires. My Mother is diabetic and I know what she had to do before the new things came out. It can be done. I wish you all the luck!

Have you tried Glucerna Shakes and Bars?
They are made with a unique blend of slowly digested carbs that helps
you manage your blood sugar, and they taste very good.
They will curb that craving for sweets.
Check out their web site

Most all diabetics I know lOVES sweets. I know you can now use Splenda which a good substitute for sugar. Sugar is not good for any of us, so as a non-diabetic I always buy the diabetic cookies, cakes, and candy. Mainly because it is better for me. There is so much sweet stuff now for diabetics you should never crave sweets again.

If you are Diabetic and love sweets first thing you can do is JOIN THE CLUB!!
Most of us Diabetics love our sweets and that is what probally put us in this predictment. I had to cut sweets completely out of my diet. I go for the naturla sweets now like fruits.
I have found this sweet drink that is helping my sweet tooth greatly and it only has 1g of sugar, 2g of carbs, and 0g fat yet it is actually sweet and does not taste like the artifical sweetener. It is FUZE Slenderize! They have many varieties of it as it is kind of an energy drink so you have to make sure you get the SLENDERIZE type of it since the others are loaded with sugar and carbs. They have a variety of flavors and it actually tastes good, I have only been doing the diabetic thing for a week now and so I do still have the "NORMAL" tastebuds, yet it tastes good.
I hope this has been a little help and have a great day!!!

my mums diabetic.
she has "diabetic" sweets every now and then. not very often but i like 'em myself more than normal sweets. (which could be a problem for a diabetic with no self controll)
it must be very hard to handle.
