Do we prefer taller people?

ask a women about her dream man and she says- TALL, dark, handsome! why havnt we ever heard short, dark n handsome?? is it that our minds are biased towards taller men? is is that tall people command more respect and are heard more?
in a survey conducted amongst more than half of the 500 fortune companies- a startling revelation was made, almost all of the company's CEO's were tall(just below 6 feet), being almost 3 inches taller than the average americal male's height(5 foot 9inch).
another research showed that taller people get higher salaries. it has been calculated an inch is worth $789 a year. as compared to a five feet five inch person, a six feeet tall person would be getting an extra $5525 per year!
what is it in tall people that makes us swoon?!
is it the law of nature? or is it just in the mind?

I believe that there are many people that prefer tall because of what we have been led to believe...society rewards picture perfect in the sense of shallow marketing. If we would learn to look deep and reward people for their attributes and contributions to the work place this wouldn't be in question. Just goes to show you that when you work hard and very smart your life may not pan the way you'd like because of your physical appearance.

Well, like I said before that is something else. And I think it has something to do with how people really feel about each other and if they want to date a short guy or a tall one.

yeah taller person is always preferd over the short
persons cause they seems the real heros
