What's the worst experience you've had with a courier company?

We all know how bad courier deliveries can be... if you're sending or receiving.
Worst experience I ever had was with a consignment of around 20 boxes of which 90% arrived damaged(the giveaway was the huge boot marks all over the boxes!) It ended with me closing my account and taking legal action against them....worst I've heard of was a 42inch plasma screen that was delivered and upon opening was literally in 100's pieces inside the box!
So what's you're worse experience as a sender or receiver and did they eventually sort it out for you?

Hi scary, The worst sender ever is TNT! My name is mud down at the Exeter depot, every second parcel that I used to send out used to get lost or damaged. Last year I sent three parcels to Southern Ireland to the same customer but only two turned up, I phoned customer service and they swore blind my customer had received it and that their delivery driver remembers delivering all three, not an hour later I had a parcel turn up, it was my customers missing parcel that should have been in Southern Ireland, I was furious and ended up writing a letter to the MD, they rallied round like flies after this, but they didn't get any better!
