For me and my daughter, it's multifaceted: the accent, the unassuming air, the quiet display of intelligence, the artful skill of detection and perception masked by the outward display of absolute disorganization. And the pithy statements that always bring a smile to your face!
My daughter and I watch the show together. And she bought the complete set of the first season, so when the show isn't on TV, we watch the DVDs!!

I like watching it because here's this dainty looking woman with bright red lipstick and a huge bag who comes on a crime scene and takes control. She fools everyone with her polite, soft spoken voice but get her in an interrogation room and she's like a pit bull. She doesn't let go and she doesn't give up. I want to catch the episode where she goes into a dumpster to get a severed head!

I like the way she can pretend to be unorganized and then show everyone how smart she really is in figuring out a case. And I love the fact that she is a stress eater! I can relate to her! LOL

I watch a lot of crimeshows but this is one of my favorites. I like the way she was able to gain everyone's respect because of the way she is able to methodically look at the evidence and put it all together. Also, her loyalty to her staff.

I believe the thing I like best about The Closer is that no matter how much people try to prove her wrong she always solves the case. She may get chewed out by her boss at some point but then she usually proves him wrong also. There are a lot of humerous times in the show too. My husband and I both enjoy watching it.

I love this show because I love how Brenda is all lady-like and tough at the same time. So many cop shows have the woman being all gruff and mean, like she has to act like a man to be accepted. I think Brenda shows women that they can be themselves and still excel in what is typically a "man's world." The show is also realistic in that Brenda has had to deal with a lot of problems and haters while trying to be herself in that world.

I've liked The Closer from day one. Brenda is crafty, smart, tenacious, and compassionate when necessary - at work. She's in charge and doesn't hesitate to let you know. Since what she does is considered to be in a man's world, she has to be this way. At Home, she's more approachable. We get to see her soft side in her relationship with Fritz. I like how every season we find out a little more about her and the team. Besides, anyone who has a sweet tooth like she does can't be all bad. Right? :-)

I only live a couple of hours from Atlanta, so I appreciate the Southern charm and the appropriate accent. She totally sounds like she is from the Atlanta area. I love the way she acts--polite but undercutting at the same time--because it is totally Southern. It's the same way that you can pretty much say whatever you want about a person in the South as long as you add "Bless their heart". The 'woman in control in a man's world' is cool too, but I love the way she manipulates people to find out what she wants. For instance, there was one episode where she needed to talk to a girl who was a hairstylist, so she just sat down and started up the typical beauty shop talk. It was priceless!

You've got to love that southern accent. Her love and addiction to sweets gives her a small flaw that most of us have.
Its only right that she has a good looking FBI boyfriend who enjoys her eccentricities and also respects her abilities in doing her job.
I've never had a female 'hero' before but I have to put her right up there. She's gutsy and determined.
This is only one of a very few shows that I try to never miss. You just never know what she might do next.
