without being rude about it. I have seen people get upset about what happens when someone disagrees on a topic. I am all for disagreement, there is a way to go about it. I do not deal with rude people at all. Being rude is not the way to go to win points & influence people lol. All is does is get you a negative rating.

I agree with you. Sometimes, though, I know that if you read something you just totally disagree with, it's hard to suppress the urge to lash out. It is important, though, to remember that everyone has different thoughts and opinions. THank you for pointing this out.

yes, life is too short -- I just move on or leave a comment that speaks my mind, but hopefully is not rude if I really disagree with what is being said.

I agree! Some people are just so rude. Mostly I think because they can't see you so they don't care if it really hurts you. After all, all you are to some people is an avatar.
Sometimes I hate trying to get my point across without being able to express my tone because I can come out snotty when I'm not intending to be. If I reread it and it sounds rude, I usually erase it and go to a different discussion--i said usually--sometimes I have to open my mouth..lol

I think a lot of people aren't trying to be rude when they disagree with stuff. I'm not trying to pick on them, but the people that have english as their second language, sometimes don't realize that the words they are using could be considered rude by people in the United States or England. Actually, even some of the words we use in the United States are offensive to people in England. And you also have to consider the way we put our sentences together. English is backward when compared to many other languages. I think sometimes that makes people look rude, because you think they are putting more emphasis on a word than they really mean to.
But yeah, some people just are rude when they disagree. I try to not take it as them being rude, though, unless they make it really obvious. And then I just ignore them if they are.

Oh, I agree whole-heartedly. I'm all for debating a topic..it's what makes discussing things fun. It'd get rather boring if EVERYONE agreed with you..you know?
Anyway, I've found that it's always best to be polite when someone disagrees with you..asking why, smiling at them. If they're looking to get a fight they won't find one and get annoyed..which is lots of fun as well lol.
