I love to cook, however, my brother is one of the best cooks that I have ever had the pleasure of eating food from. Tonight he is making baked potatoe soup. It is heavenly. I convinced my 8 year old to try it, and he ate 2 bowls. (I know, real healthy!). A few nights ago he made chicken pot pie. Unbelievable! He shares his recipes with me, but they are NEVER the same. Is it because he is a much better cook? Or is it because someone else made it that it just tastes so much better. There are a few things that I make better, but I am sure that it is only because he likes mine, so he doesn't try to make it better than me. One thing is my baked clams, and another is my buffalo chicken wings. Don't get me wrong, he enjoys my cooking, I just truly believe that he is much better at it than me!

My sister and my mother are far better cooks than I, and I have no problem whatsoever, eating whatever they make, whenever they make it. In fact I repeatedly tell them how wonderful that they cook, so they will continue to feed me.

hi, i always think when the food tastes better from someone else cooking it is because it doesn't mean there a good cook, it's just that it tastes better when they cook it, lol! :O)

Hi quispy, I'm a self confessed terrible cook and can burn water pretty easily. Lucky you having a great brother who can cook and baked potatoe soup sounds really delicious! I think alot of food tastes better when you haven't had to cook it yourself as you have had time to sit and smell the aromas, making you feel more hungrier!
