For me it was a 1971 Chevy Chevelle. I loved that car. 4 speed. It moved. I think I was stopped by every cop in my county! It was canary yellow, and was a work in progress. My husband made me sell it when I was pregnant with our first son. Most likely because I drove it WAY too fast, but also because it had no power steering, no power brakes and no air conditioning. Traded "up" to a Cadiallac Eldorado and presently am driving a mini van! Uggggghhhh! How I miss my Chevelle! I even had the plate read "Shevelle".

Hi, sounds like it was a lovely cat that you had! I think my favourite car was a Ford Escort MK1 (You won't be that familiar with it unless you know alot about cars in the UK) Anyhow it was bright yellow, had blacked-out windows, 2.1 pinto engine, quickshift gearbox, wide wheels the lot, it looked sooo cool! That was my fave car!

Since I have had cars and pickups for more years than I care to count, coming up with a favorite is going to be difficult, but I'll try. I think it is between a 1978 Ford Thunderbird, Diamond Jubilee edition, a 1965 Chevy Impala Convertible, and my current car which is a 1991 Mercury Capri Convertible. I will try to explain why each of these is on this short list. The Thunderbird had every option you can think of and a few that most folks are probably not even aware of, like the radio, which was AM/FM, 8 track, and Factory CB. The Impala for the simple reason that it was my first convertible and had a 283 engine. The Capri because it's a convertible, 5 speed, great gas mileage, (I get 40 plus MPG) and I still have it. Now for the sob story that goes along with this. I lost the Impala when I got broadsided by a Pinto Station Wagon which rolled it. I lost the Thunderbird when I stopped to help someone that was stranded on the side of the road. Suddenly I noticed that there was smoke pouring out from under the hood, and the heat was so intense that it melted the front license plate. I haven't had any problems with the Capri, yet. Hopefully, I won't.
