It's all about psychology and playing with the mind. Most tricks have secrets that are very simple. I can put a signed quarter into a sealed soda can. I can move symbols around on a signed dollar bill. Both of those tricks are simple, yet seem impossible.

Slight of hand, in other words what you think is happening isn't for example if you place a card ramdomly in a deck often the magician will have a method of knowing exactly where you placed it so he/she can get it anytime they wish, usually by moving this card to the bottom and when they need it deal from the bottom.

I do not think that they have any magic at all, they just know how to control and trick people into thinking that it is a magic trick.
