It is kind of hard to maintain, but its worth it if you do it right. We had a 35 gallon tank and caught all of the fish ourselves. We filled it with ocean water, and everytime it evaporated we would refill it with fresh water (to keep the salinity level the same). The filter was one of those that sucks water from inside the tank and runs it through the filter and back into the tank (like a waterfall). There are a ton of websites out there that can give you some good tips. Good luck!!

It's hard in the beginning, just learning the different things you have to do and watch for. But once you get that figured out, it's not that difficult. If you've never had a fish tank/aquarium before, I'd recommend starting with a fresh water tank first. They're kinda similar to a point, have to do water changes, keep on eye on the water parameters and such, but you need to go a little further with salt water. Do a search online for starting a salt water aquarium. Also, the bigger the tank, the easier it is to maintain/keep it balanced and healthy. Usually it's recommended to start with a 55 US gallon tank. There's tons of sites, I have one here to start with. Search around on that site too, there's lots of other links with info:
