I love pies and cobblers. The smell of them baking, the crust, the wonderful fillings just make my mouth water thinking of them! Here is my favorite recipe for pie, but all you need to do is tell me your favorite pie or cobbler (NOT CAKE) and why (but you can share a recipe if you want). PEACH CUSTARD PIE INGREDIENTS: 1 unbaked pie shell, 9-inch 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk 2 cups hot water 3 large eggs, lightly beaten 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg 5 peaches, peeled and quartered PREPARATION: Combine the sweetened condensed milk with the hot water; stir into beaten eggs. Add salt, vanilla and nutmeg; pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake in a preheated 400 degree F oven for 20 minutes, then reduce the heat to 325 degrees F. Bake until custard is set, or about 15 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. When cool, garnish with the peach quarters and whipped cream.

INGREDIENTS 1 pound beef tenderloin 1 pound beef kidney 1 cup all-purpose flour for rolling 4 cups water to cover 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour 1 to taste salt and pepper to taste 1 (17.5 ounce) package frozen puff pastry, thawed DIRECTIONS Cut meat into 1 inch cubes, and roll in seasoned flour. Place meat in a saucepan, and add enough water to cover. Cook until meat is tender, about 3 hours. Remove the meat, leaving the liquid in the pan. Thicken gravy with 1 tablespoon flour, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Return meat to the pan. Spoon into a pie dish. Allow to cool. Take a small portion of the pastry, and roll into 1 inch wide strips. Moisten the edges of the pie dish, and press pastry around the rim. Roll out the rest of the pastry to size of the dish. Moisten the strip pastry, and cover with pastry. Bake at 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) for 15 to 20 minutes, or until nicely browned.

I love pies aswell ,oh well who doesnt like pies ? ,Here is a recipe for my fav pumpkin pie . This recipe is a bit unusual because it uses melted vanilla icecream instead of evaporated milk. The result is delicious. I have never brought home leftovers of this pie. 1 1/2 pints vanilla ice cream, softened 3 eggs 1 3/4 cups pumpkin puree 3/4 cup white sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 2 (9 inch) unbaked pie shells Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C.) Place ice cream near the warm oven to soften. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs. Stir in the pumpkin puree, sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Mix in soft ice cream until smooth. Pour filling into two 9 inch pie shells. Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and bake an additional 30 to 40 minutes, or until filling is set. Note To use fresh pumpkin, preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Wash, and halve pie pumpkin(s). Scoop out seeds. Place pumpkin halves cut side down in baking pan. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until pumpkins are soft to the touch. Remove from oven, and let cool. Scrape out pumpkin meat, and puree in food processor or blender. (This can be done several weeks in advance and the puree stored in the freezer.)

Ahhh pies. They are by far my most favorite dessert. I don't bake them at home anymore because I usually eat one whole pie myself when they come out of the oven. I buy from the store now and only ONE! Pies are my one true weakness. My favorite is cherry. Then pumpkin, apple, blueberry, etc... Hot apple pie with sharp cheddar cheese on top is to die for.

I love pie but I can't make one to save my life. Crusts are not my thing and I doubt I will ever get the hang of it. But that's o.k. - I just run down to my local bakery and buy the pies I love. My favorite kind of pie would be Coconut Cream Pie. I also like Chocolate Silk Pie and Pumpkin. I'm not big on fruit pies but I do love a really yummy warm blueberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream on top - yummmm! When I was little my mom would eat her warm apple pie with milk over it in a bowl. I picked up her habit and would eat mine that way too. That is the only way I can eat apple pie now - covered in milk!

I love the smell of pie and the crust is my favorite part of the pie. But what bums me out is I'll see a good deal of a frozen pumpkin pie at the store, but then when I turn over to see how long, it's 75-80 minutes. I prefer apple pies, much easier.

My favourite pie is Buterscotch Pie because I love Caramel and even though the pie itself is called "Butterscotch" the filling is the same as that of Caramel Lolly except it has more milk so as not to harden to toffie.

I love pie, but not pie crust. I know that's weird since its most people's favorite part. But I just eat the inside everytime :) Sometimes I eat pie filling without it being cooked in anything :)
