No, not pretty, beautiful, the face of an angel. I have cable modem too. And I love it. We also have another high speed option in the US called DSL or Digital subscriber line. But to get DSL you have to live pretty close to a telephose switching station. It's almost as fast as cable modem but only only costs about half as much. My cable modem bill in the US is $50 per month not including the TV signal which is another $50 month, so even in the US not everybody can afford it.
