How do you manage your life?

I was asked something like this today and thought it was interesting. What do people do here between myLot and their life? How do you fit things in? My daily timetable is like this: Morning - Get up, get kids up, get washed, breakfast, makeup, go to college. Late Afternoon - Come home from college, start dinner, collect kids from school, come home and turn on pc. Surf myLot while checking e-mail and finishing the dinner. Do kids homework. Evening - Study, surf mylot, do some washing, make lunches for school the next day. Go to gym. (Sometimes I go to the gym in the morning instead) Also, 3 times a week I spend a couple of hours doing work for voluntary organisations.

Things have been overwhelming and hectic for me lately. I just try and take it one step and one day at a time.

I try to do that too, but things catch up on me and I end up having to do 3 days of work in 1 day or less.

I don't think I manage things as well as I should. Or if I do manage to meet my deadlines I end up turning less than stellar work. But sometimes I just try to keep to a routine and schedule. If I get behind I try to make it up the next day. But having a routine helps me a lot.

Having a routine or a timetable is an absolute must when you're busy.

Frankly, I think mylot has overtaken my life. Every time I get online my inbox is full of mylot responses, or I go surfing for discussions of interest to respond to. I don't seem to have time to read or write anymore. This could be a sign it's time to take a break. But, I'm just getting started. LOL!

I now have a separate folder in my inbox for mylot e-mails. I wouldn't be able to cope otherwise. LOL!

Oh my life has slowed down a lot from what it used to be like, my daily life timetable every morning I wake up and turn my computer straight on, I then go and have my breakfast and clean up in the kitchen before I go and have a rest for a couple of hours seeing I have to start the computer so early after that I get up and clean the rest of the home, before having my lunch, I then watch some television, I then come back online to do the rest of my work on the computer, but if it is shopping day or I want to visit friends then I go and do this during the time I am not on my computer.

Lucky you not having to rush around the place. Although there are some days I think I'm better off not having time to think.

Hm - interesting. OK, well I would say my normal weekday goes, get up, have a shower and breakfast, go to work, usually get online in my lunchbreak to check my emails and have a look at MyLot. Then home in the evening, cook diiner, eat with my partner when he cmes home, go onto the Net for a couple of hours to visit here and another forum I regularly visit then bath and bed. AT te weekends, I do all the weekly shopping, clean the house, clean my Father's house and do his shopping too as he is getting old now, and try and fit in the Internet when I can. I always go out with my girlfrirnds on a Friday night (it's a kind of tradition since we were all young), and I go out wth my partner, just the two of us, on a Saturday night, either to a movie or the theatre, or just out for dinner.

You've certainly describe a life I could live with rosie. You're very good to be looking after your dad like that. I always like to hear about people looking after their parents. I'd love to go out socialising but I don't have time. We're lucky to get out once a month.

I get up, take a shower, have a morning devotional, eat breakfast, feed the 2 cats and walk to school where I teach government, economics, yearbook and run the libray. Work is literally a stone's throw away. I go home for lunch. Go back to school. I surf mylot while at work during my free periods and sometimes stay after school to surf the net especially if my wife is working in the dorm. Go home for supper and surf the net or watch TV or spend time with my wife and daughter. My daughter is 27 and moved back home to return to college for another degree. She is gone all day and sometimes in the evenings. Sometimes I have evening responsiblities at school and on the weekends.

Wow, you're a busy thing! Usually my schedule goes like this: Morning: Get up, make lunch, take my sister to school, go to University. Late Afternoon: Come home from University, Go to the gym, do homework. Evening: Cook dinner, walk the dogs Night (7pm on): Surf the Internet, surf MyLot, watch TV. Not as busy as yours, but busy nonetheless.

Woah... u seem pretty busy and I wonder how u manage to have all the times... *salute for u* Oh btw... mine is quite suck. Unlike u, I dont used my time appropriately and productively. Usually... I will sleep in the morning or the dawn. Then wake up around 3pm or 5pm, which is sucks cuz I tend to skip my classes, even the 3pm classes. My friends are shaking their heads and I know I have to change. But it's been a habit that I live with *scroll eyes*. Every thursday, friday, and saturday I'll work parttime as a promoter, from 8pm-1am. Trying to get my life back... I mean, my biological clock... it's killing me sometimes.. I can notice that my skin is starting to get so dry and most importantly I feel like I look older and older everytime I look at myself in the mirror. I feel like my face is not as tight as it used to be. Aargh.. it's so irritating and depressing. My time management sucks

I think this is the good discussion in the mylot. Please think how you manage your life. seventy percent of the people in the world are living as the time table.twenty percent of the people living depends upon the situation, remaining peoples on both. But all the peoples are manage their life. In the same way i also managing my life.A man or women without managing thier life they cannot do anything. I am managing my life depends upon the situation. This is the correct way to mange my life.

Sounds like you need to designate duties to others so they can help you out some... Start teaching kids to pick up their things and put them back where they belong, plus they should be doing their own homework... It's ok if you help out once in a while but you shouldn't be doing all the work or they will never learn in school or pass tests... When you get home, make them sit and do their homework while you cook and do laundry... Perhaps when the homework is done they might go outside to play or help you with some household chores... You could give up some computer time till the kids are in bed and dinner is all done...

I am 24 years old and I can say that I am already getting matured. I am praying to God that He will guide me in every way. My parents are still alive by God's grace and I am thankful for them coz they guide me also. I wake up evry morning with thanksgiving to God and do the routine task everyday in preparation for the work in school. After my class, I go straight to my boarding house. If there are activities, I would gladly join them especially church activities. If there are problems,I will pray and believed that it can be solved.
