I know how you feel. I smoked for ten years. I quit for about two years and some things came up and I started smoking again.

and just why not? you can do what ever you set your mind to. if you think you can't you won't. if you think you can you will try, and then try again. i know it is not always easy, but can is so much easier then can't. can't comes with guilt for not trying, and that is a bag that never goes with a good pair of shoes!

I know the feeling. I am in preparation mode to try and quit for good this time. Hopefully I can do it..and I've been telling myself that I know I can, and I do, but that other little part of me says, yeah, whatever..lol. Good luck!

Every time I smoke my last cig. I tell myself that thats it. No more! I am not going to spend no more money on that nasty habbet. The next thing I know, I am at the store buying them. I am going to quit. I am now pacing myself. I cant have a cig. but every hour. after a week it will be longer. I am not going to let it beat me. Have a great day.

It took me a long time, but I just finally said this is it. You definitely have to be at that point or it just won't work. There are lots of new treatments out there. A friend of mine had that laser treatment done. She hasn't smoked since. It really worked. I used SmokeAway.com. It is herbs and I didn't think it would but it actually worked. Like I said you have to be ready and then it will actually work for you.

Me neither. I have zero willpower when it comes to quitting. I want to quit, but apparently not bad enough, because as soon as I think I can, it seems like somethng happens and its "Not a good time".

I so know the feeling. I have worked at the same job for 23 years. The company retired and I now have to find another job. So being stressed, I want to smoke more. Not having anything to do, I want to smoke more. My kids coming home being roudy, I want to smoke more. My hubby! want to smoke more. LOL. I hope you have a good day.

exactly. Its just like a real skinny person that has been skinny there whole life and can eat anything they want, telling you that you can loose weight if you wanted to.

How are you doing with this now? Is it any better? You know, I quit 5 times before I got it right. They say sometimes you just have to practice quitting, and each time you do it, you get closer and closer until one day, you're just done! I've been smoke free for 4 years now! you can do it to!

This is one of my favorite children's stories. I used it on my children when they said, "I can't". I must have learned that from my Mom - she did the same thing to me. Scary thing is both myself and my kids now don't know the word "can't". This can be dangerous such as the 60 foot tree in the back yard which son #2 proceeded to climb to the top of when a friend said he couldn't climb that tree. Of course I nearly had heart failure when I saw him at the top acting like nothing in the world was wrong.

Smoking is really a addiction and not easy to quit all of sudden. But good thing is there are many rehabilition center for helping to get rid of these habits. Try them and make a great change in your life.
