It really was sad. Now Meredith will have to live with knowing the last thing she said to her before she "lapsed" was to tell her that she was a burden and had caused her to be "ordinary".
I knew when she said it that she didn't mean it and hopefully her mom did too. Anyway, when her mom was talking to her doctor friend, she referred to how they would have been wonderfully ordinary, implying that ordinary would have been great.

that was sad yet good. meredith had already told her mom earlier in the show what she thought and came back to only recap. meredith is strong and i see the chief really coming through for meredith as he promised ellis.

I thought it was an amazing episode. I was also sad that Mer didn't get to tell her mom that stuff at the end. I was so proud of George for standing up to his friends at the end for Calliope Iphegenia Torres O'Malley.
I am glad Christina said yes. Cute that she won't wear the ring.
It was so sweet when the chief sat with Ellis and told her what their life might have been even though it wouldn't have been because he wouldn't have left Adele.
Miranda did a great job with the little girl too. Making her dad see that he needs to be there for her.

I didn't think it was sad - I think it was probably pretty healing for Meredith to be able to tell her mom the truth rather than just take her abuse.

I didn't like last nights episode. First, Izzie was so annoying with her worrying about how much everything costs! If you're gonna give a donation, give one and don't keep talking about it! And Ellis Gray, well I just don't like her. She's a terrible mother. Very selfish and cruel. And what was with Addison and McSteamy? I guess she was pretending he was Karev!
