Doctors say that cancer is a curable illness nowadays. The problem rather is detection of the disease at its earliest stage. Every doctor now says that if the existence of cancer in whatever part of our body is detected early on, it is very curable. However, there are some types which get detected only at their final stages - when the symptoms come forth. Let us hope that the scientists will come out with a device which shall detect cancer even at its very formation stage yet. And let us hope furthermore that, it shall not gonna be an expensive process to undergo/undertake.

I agree with Island_Gecko...to a degree.
If you continue following conventional medical procedures...no, there will not be a cure for cancer...ever.
It is rare that a true "cure" comes out of the medical-phamaceutical community (the last I remember is polio). Not good for the "bottom line" you know.
Now the good news...there are several cures for virtually all cancer. There is one that has been around since the early '20's. Check it out @ http://www.cancer-info/essiac.htm.
I am in my second bout with cancer of the tongue. The first time I went the medical route and they almost killed me with chemo, radiation, and surgery. My quality of life was markedly reduced. This time, I am going God's way - through natural remedies like the one mentioned in the previous paragraph. Another remedy I have embraced is changed diet. No more processed foods, no foods that came from something that had a face (animal products).
My cancer is shrinking.
