I am not afraid in the least :) I live maybe 100 feet from the beach (probably less), and I swim out in the ocean almost daily during the summer. I frequently take my swim in the early morning while no one else is around. There have been sharks seen here, but not many. The thing I am more afraid of is rip currents, and the further out you are, the safer, with those,

To add to that, though, I have lifeguard certification, so I am capable of swimming out deep. I hope that no one who is not confident as a swimmer ever swims out into open water - don't make me come save you! Haha.

actually speaking i'm not afraid of swiming and i want to swim the deepest and largest seas but the problem is that i don't know how to swim and i got no time to go and learn how to swim......so i didn't get the chance to learn how to swim.....but if i knew swimming i want to swim across many water bodies for sure

yes, and I am afraid to go on a boat, across the water. I am okay if I can see land, but when I cannot see land I get very frightened and sea sick.
I used to swim when we went to Anglesey in Wales, and then my brother in law told me about conger eels, and weaver fish and basking sharks, ha ha ha!
Now I just swim in a swimming pool!

I have never tried it before, but I am sure that I will be afraid because it took me awhile to get adjusted to swimming pools and stuff.

Ys I am. I have a fear of water, ever since I was as young as I can remember. I can't go in the deep end of the pool without panicking, and I used to get scared in my bath. I wouldn't even put one TOE in the ocean, it scares me so much. Just the vastness, the mystery, the deepness and the SHARKS!
