Did anyone hear about the scare that Boston had with those cartoon promos? I don't think it was a good idea, but I don't think it was that big of deal. First of all, the signs were up for 3 weeks before it started this big scare. Also, they did it in 10 other cities, all with no problems. I think it was take a little too far. I understand we need to be careful, but sometimes it is taken to the extreme, like in this case. I think it was a dumb promo, though, and might cost them a lot of money in fines and paying for the labor of officials, which I think is fair. What do you think of the story?

I think they went way overboard with it. Especially the news coverage. I was so mad having to miss my soaps because of all the foolishness about it. Like you said no other cities had such problems. Now they are trying to say there were other things going on the same day...no sorry it was a big farce in my opinion...a waste of time and money.

I know that is a shame that missed your soaps! My wife would have said the same thing as you, so I feel your pain :D It was just a little over the top, and I don't think they will be able to really prosecute those that put them up. Huge waste of time and money is 100% correct!

I suppose it's better that they checked it out and it was nothing. If it had been bombs we would have big trouble..lol

Yes, I read that story in the Rocky Mountain News and thought it was interesting. That what was interesting was not so much the story per se, but the fact that mob stupidity and not far behind, mob violence is alive and well just like it was long ago through out history. It is interesting to note that in this new world of tecnology and modern thought that it does still exist in some people who are fearfull stupid idiots who just can't seem to think things through rationally, but instead resort to the mob mentality. That, and not the story of a promotion for a cartoon is what's scary.

You just summed it all up very nicely! Thanks a ton, as it was a horrible thing to watch how badly people acted.

Yeah...I couldn't believe they were sitting there for 3 weeks and no one noticed. I think it ended up just putting America back on shaky nerves. But the show itself can sometimes be funny.
