I Want to Make Friends with Fellow AC CP's

United States
February 2, 2007 10:15am CST
Hi, I am new to AC and I have written four articles. So far, the first two that they accepted so far I got $12 and $5 for a short movie review and two pending. I am trying to understand the bookmark sites and stuggling with that but I want to learn all I can as I am making AC a full-time job and I know the more readers I have the more money I will get offered so I want to make friends with those who will have time to add each other to favorite list and read and comment on each other's writing to help build up our clout level working together, sharing tips and ideas, perhaps. I want co-workers! That's what I want, it's the one thing I miss about working from home! Who wants to be my coworkers?

Hello, I'm a fellow CP and would be happy to subscribe to your content on AC. My name on AC is Amy Brantley, so just shoot me an email and I'll subscribe right away :) Also, I have written several articles that might help you. Such as "How to Make a Living Writing for AC". Good luck on AC it really is a great company. I work on there full-time and love it.

I tried to look someone else up on there and found their content but could not find a link to add them to my favorites but I will try again with you. Do any of those articles explain what to do when your link to your content does not work? How about when the RSS feed does not work? I am trying to get all that set up and get some readership so my offers will be increased. Was I supposed to add whatever I wanted to the www.associatedcontent.com/___________ thing on my profile? I put my name "tonyahowe" there and the link did not work to take me to my content so I pasted the RSS feed again on my yahoo 360 page to see if it worked since it would not work on my myspace page and it did not work on yahoo 360 either. I need help! I will try to find you on ac.

Hi Amy. I'm a new CP myself and just visited your page. You've got some great advice out there on how to make writing for Associated Content work best. Thanks!

Tonya...If you figure that out about the link, let me know. I entered "wesderby" in mine, and if I go to www.associatedcontent.com/wesderby, it says something "No Content"...I have to use that REALLY long URL (linked from my profile now). The good news is, one of the librarians I work with may be signing up and doing book reviews, and she's trying to get her husband to sign up and write tech articles so they can earn a little extra money to put toward building their new house. :)

Hello,, I have been a member of AC for a little over a week and have submitted 2 articles but haven't got any offers or been published yet. I will be happy to subscribe to yours and be your co worker if once I get mine published you do the same for me. I would also like to make AC my full time job as well as posting reviews on my blog for blogsvertise and others. I will add you as a friend on here and once mine get accepted I will let you know so we can help each other. I think this is a great idea! :)

You did not give us a way to find you on AC. My cousin subscribed to me before I was published so I know it can be done.

your link does not work either, just like mine and Wes's links. It says content is currently unavailable.

I'm on AC. Haven't done a lot recently because I'm also checking out other writing sites to see which are the most profitable. I'll check out everyone's page mentioned in this discussion. Here's the link to my content... http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/24950/smokerise.html

I meant for your pic on mylot but it doesn't matter, your name on AC is what is familiar to me and I think I signed up from a discussion you had posted your referral link on. Regardless, I have subscribed to your content and you still have not subscribed to mine! I need page views! I will go read some of your stuff and leave comments, please do the same for me and put me in your subscribed list! It increases our value, we will get paid more! I'm not dividing my time between AC and other sites, I want to build up my clout level on AC so I am full time AC.

I've already checked out the rest, AC is the best. I was able to subscribe with your link and your AC name seemed familiar to me. I think you are the person who told me about AC in the first place and got me to sign up for it. Did you used to have a pic of a guy in a hat?

No, maybe you're thinking of SPCBrass--his avatar is a guy wearing what looks like a cowboy or Mexican hat.

I too am an AC CP. I haven't yet had time to submit anything and frankly I was a bit scared as I was afraid nobody would read my stuff! How quickly did they approve your stories?

They say 5 business days, but it seems to me like it was a bit longer, like 8 or 9 days, but maybe I am counting the weekend. Good luck, please add me on ac. Tonya Howe. I'd give you my link but it is not working.

Yeah...I think it is a bit longer. I submitted my first article on Tuesday night, January 23, and got the payment offer on Thursday, February 1...So, if I don't count Tuesday since I submitted it late at night, it was the seventh business day. However, because they do payouts on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, since I accepted the offer on the same day, I got paid the next day. I've submitted three last Friday and haven't heard anything, and one this past Monday. I've heard they DO often get behind...But as I said, I've found they pay quickly once you accept the offer.

Please visit my page and have a look on my articles and have your comments and if you like you can subscribe my postinf too. Thank you all. http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/44280/satyajit_roy.html

I'd be happy to subscribe to your work. My name on the site (real name, no less) is Wes Derby. I've only written one article and got $20...I have to admit, I'm sure the follow-up will be a bit disappointing. :) But I, too, want to at least make a part-time income from them, maybe make it full time. Most of my "expertise" lies in satellite radio, music, and blindness-related issues both technology and otherwise...Not sure how much demand there'll be for that type of content, but we'll see where it takes me.

Wes, I will try to find you on there and subscribe. I believe they have a great demand for the things you know about. Look in your inbox and you will find an email from them telling you what kind of stuff they are actively seeking. Try to incorporate those things into your area of expertise. They buy any and all "how to" stuff so make a "how to" on something to do with blindness or satelite radio or such. good luck.

I wish you lots of luck on AC. I've been there since June and in October made it my full-time job. My articles usually average around $8 each and take around 30 minutes to write, so that's not too bad. It's a great place to write for. I'll subscribe to your content and please do the same for mine. My name is Amy Brantley on there. Thanks.

Welcome! I have been a CP with AC for a few months now, and I love it. It has replaced my other job and made me quite happy to be there. It just takes some work and dedication to make it pay enough to be a good job.

I would appreciate a link to your page on associated content. here is mine so that we can check each other's out and good luck. http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/46831/rosa_hayes.html

I'd love to be connected to more people. Send me a mail via here or AC. You can search for me by name I'm Shannon Wilson in Bakersfield, California. I've only published a few things because I'm having a major case of writers block. I used to write so much and now that I found website where I can actually get paid for writing good articles I'm freezing up and for some reason I'm having a hard time understanding keyword density. I've read Amy's articles on it, I've read other peoples articles on it and for some reason my mind isn't understanding it. I understand the idea of it, but I didn't get it when I actually tired to do it for an article I did.

I added you to my favorites as I realize now that subscribing is different from adding to favorites! If I subscribed to all these my email would be flooded! I have added all of them to my favorite CP's list. Now I can find you and see what you have written and try to read and comment on a few for each of you as time permits. Please do the same for me!

Thanks for writing this. I wish I'd noticed it earlier. I happened to submit my first article to Associated Content at about the time you wrote this. I'll definitely check out your articles and would like to be co-workers. You can find my one article under the name Alicia Suenaga. It might even contain useful information. It's on how to save money, just a few tips. Thanks again.

Hi, I'm new to AC too and love it so far. I've just gotten my first piece published and received an offer for a second. There's such a variety of writing and interesting people to read on the site too! I'd be happy to be one of your AC co-workers. I'm not sure how to find you on AC, though!

Hi! I have been writing for AC for a couple weeks and have several articles published already. My link is http://associatedcontent.com/user/44927/jill_davidson.html. I'd be glad to swap subscriptions with you. If you haven't already, check out Constant Content. They sell your articles to third parties, and I have received from $10-$50 per article from this site. They pay a little more but only once a month. (I use AC to pick up a little quick cash.) My link for CC: http://constant-content.com/?aref=8083.

I am fairly new to AC as well. I have had two articles published and would like to make friends with those on AC as well. I have subscribed to each one that has responded here. And, actually have found that all of the links have worked for me. Great idea! Thanks.
