should a husband be elder than wife??

My husband was 12 years older then me. I was 18 and he was 30, but we were happy and the age didn't matter at all! Infact I felt so protected with him being so much older then me. We were happily married for 5 years, but he had awful mental problems that I finally couldn't handle so I divorced him, we are still good friends though! ( It wasn't the AGE that ended the marrage, it was his mental problems)!

I don't think age plays a major role in the bond of marriage or love.But based on the maturity level of female which is more than male of the same age.,mostly husband are of elder in arranged marriages.

there is no such thing...our little master sachin tendulkar has married an elder woman.

there is a natural difference between male and femal. femal is faster and more mature than males, particularly they are always 9 years senior than any male of their same age. so to make a equal match there should be difference of age between man and woman, if possible it should be of 9 years.

i think its better that the husband should be elder than wife...bcoz what a woamn needs from a man is the protection....so to feel that she is in strong hands, its better that the hus is elder than wife

I'm eighteens months older than my husband and it doesn't matter to either one of us... in fact we have a little fun with it. My sisters husband is nine years older than her. I think that age difference is a little much, but no one asked me!!!

not necessarily .... its love that matters. Theres the custom of marring elder men thats only for the reason that females are much matured than men of the same age. according to me when men and women have love and understanding for eachother, age really doesnot come into picture.

I dont think so . I live in INDIA where it is custom that the husband should beelder to wife but my mom is elder to my dad. Do I dont think so love have any age barriers

thats how it generally is. But if somebody decide s the other way there is no issue if they dont have any.
