Is anyone else planning on going to law school?

Where do you want to go to law school? What area(s) of law interest you the most? Why do you think you want to practice law? Are you majoring in Political Science or something unrelated to law?
I'm a Spanish/Applied Linguistics major and I'm planning on attending law school starting in the fall of 2008. I'd *really* like to go somewhere in New York City or Boston, since that's where I'm originally from and there seem to be a lot of great opportunities. I'd like to practice disability/mental health law with an emphasis on education and children (especially teenagers). Who knows, though, I might find out that I love real estate law or something.

I just graduated from law school, so I still remember some of the application process and stuff. I was an Econ and International Affairs major in college.
One thing that struck me, and in hindsight I wish that I would have considered, is the location of where I would want to eventually practice law. I decided to go to the best law school I got into rather than the law school closest to where I'd practice. In the end, it all worked out OK, but it sure would have been a whole lot easier if I had gone to the lesser regional school than the better out-of-state school. There are just more opportunities for internships, networking, etc. which goes far after graduation.

I did really well in both my business law and museum law classes (#1 in my class)... I've been thinking once I get my Art History Degree I may go to Stetson Law for a law degree. I've always liked law but just didn't think I had it in me. After the classes I took I think I would do pretty good. I've been getting more confident the last few years - so maybe the going before the judge thing wouldn't be so bad.
