I had a bestfriend. I met her at work wayback 1993. We became really close and we really had special moments together. Then when we both resigned from the company, seeing each other lessen for we live far apart. Then one day her sister gave me a call asking me to visit Thea (my bestfriend) in the hospital for she was seriously ill. I visited her and really surprised on how she looks. She was really ill. After a year she died. The saddest part is that she didn't even see my son. She died two weeks after I gave birth. Now there's a time that I really missed her and wanted to see her. But thinking that she's already dead, I don't want to see her anymore. I don't want to see a ghost. hehehe. Good and happy memories are enough for me.

I'm really sorry you lost your best friend, I've always wondered what I would do without mine! Without her I doubt I would have got through the last 10 years! I'm glad you've got your memories and i'm sure if you believe in an afterlife she would be looking down on you and your son!

No i didn't cry. Because when she saw me, she was really happy. And she didn't show that she's in grief or something. She's the kind of person with a strong personality. Good for you that you found friends here on cyber. Keep it up :)

Yup, I miss my bestfriend too. We were childhood friends. We grew up at the same neighborhood until our teen years. He went to the U.S. I think year 1987 and then came back for a visit last 2000 and then went back to the U.S. again with his family. And guess what, as I'm thinking right now about him, I remember it was his birthday today! Happy Birthday Bestfriend Romel.

Yes you are very right. We don't control our future. So spend quality time with someone you love coz we don't how long we're gonna be with them. Thanks for your response.

I'm sorry to hear you lost your best friend :(. It's sad when we have to go through these situations but life does go on. Hopefully you will meet someone who can provide the same level of friendship she was able to give you. I have been fortunate in that my best friend is in very good health. Although I do wish she lived a little closer to me so we could see each other more often. We speak quite frequently though and I know if ever I need her, she will be here.

ah...how sad. I am sorry for your loss. I have a couple of really good friends that I got close to at a job and we were pregnant together and everything. i quit my job and all and now she doens't work there anymore. Between my 2 kids and her 2 kids and all our activities, it's so hard to get together. I miss her, but I do still have the chance to see her.
I am really sorry for your loss. Keep your happy memories and know that she loved you.
