What do you think of Katharine McPhee's new album?

I haven't heard much of it yet, but I like Better Off Alone. I just love her voice, she could sing the phone book and I would still listen :) I'm surprised the direction they went though, she really shines when she does something quirky or with a little soul.

I only though she was OK on American Idol. She could do the sexy - sophisticated ballads well... and this is what I was hoping she CD would be like. I was very disappointed that it was not like this at all... way too dance-like for my tastes, or what she was actually well on AI.

I really liked her on American Idol, but her new CD seems to have a target market of 22 year old girls who like to party. It doesn't seem like it's her style at all. I was kind of disappointed.
