What comes to mind when I say "swollow your pride"?

Well, sometimes you just have to either apologise or ask someone for help, but your right its the hardest thing to do in some circumstances. We also call it "eating humble pie" :)

I think it means no matter how much it hurts you to admit your wrong about something, to go ahead and admit it, means swallowing your pride and accepting that you cannot always be right about everything. No matter how much you hate to admit it.

Sometimes it is easier than other times to swallow your pride or another way to say it is to apologize or say your sorry. We are a proud people all of us. It is hard for the most part when we have to admit we are wrong or that we have done someone wrong. It is not a easy thing to make amends. So when you say swallow your pride that means you have to throw it to the side and let them see that you are willing to admit that you have wronged someone or done something to someone that is not right. Be it action or speech. I myself think highly of a person who can do this.
